Hahaha you are right about Ma Xiao Yu. He also takes on many scumbag roles. I have seen his Mr Nice Guy drama but drama was meh. Could also be due to lack of chemistry. I haven't watched his drama with Ke Chun. Maybe that is entertaining.

I wonder if there are other versions of yin yang antidote dramas. If you come across one, let me know.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I considered watching the short version after adding edit remark in my review. The scene at start was similar to MXY's version so I guess MXY's version is a remake of Huang Bo short version. Hhhhmmm I might watch it if I can go through another Huang Bo scumbag role.

That being said, I liked MXY version too. I am a fan of both MXY & GYX so I was delighted to see them together in one drama. Gosh the daughter's actions humbled me. I liked that she got an important, more believable part in the reconciliation of her parents. The child actress did very well in her role.

Count me in too. Adding this drama to my watchlist.

Oh that's Ou Na! I heard her name from JOME. This is the first that introduced me to her then! I enjoyed her acting in this drama.

Vertically shot drama (pottait view). Traditionally dramas (full feature 45 mins & mini dramas) are shot & viewed horizontally (landscape view). However there is a growing market for vertical dramas which is fast paced as each episode is 1 or 2 minutes long (that's why episode count is high).

I watched this version before Ma Xiao Yu's version but review for MXY version was written first. I just want to say that I appreciate the different medical treatment done in these two versions. This version uses modern medicine to treat ML's condition while Ma Xiao Yu's version uses traditional medicine.

That aside, he is a super excellent actor.

Great review. I agree with you about the children. It is realistic because they had never seen him before. The daughter being protective is just adorable!
