Both leads are doing a great job at the characters’ dynamic as this stage. Deok Im is clearly not off base at fearing that her life could be turned upside if she became his love interest. He doesn’t know how to handle his desire for her. He’s showing he can be a danger, even to her, and coupled with the queen’s warning as well as the players wanting to control her, I think Deok Im is one smart cookie with a lot of foresight. Obviously, she won’t be able to get away from him. Btw She must really love him to not be turned off by his behavior in episode 7 tho, from a modern prospective at least.
Based on their behavior in these four episodes and assuming their connection will only increase/intensify, my gut tells me the teacher deserves being fired. Obviously, if she doesn’t kiss/sleep with him, she shouldn’t be going to jail. But the relationship is inappropriate and she is totally grooming him to rely on her exclusively for support and acceptance. So when he “falls” in love with her, is it that much of a surprise? She’s responsible. As the adult, she’s not setting down boundaries for a vulnerable youth. I’m sure you can get a ton of feedback from proper teachers who will say you can guide him without all this. I’ll drop this probably, despite my love for Lee Do Hyun’s acting. I was hopeful that the teacher would be faultless but doesn’t look like it.
When HW asked HJ, "If I'm a monster, what are the people who made me this way?" They're HUMAN! Who make mistakes or bad decisions. But they're not monsters.
HJ is right that HW is totally pathetic and now an evil person. I get it. I hate cheaters as much as the next person. But HJ and WJ were not using a child in a ploy to get back at someone. They fell in love when they shouldn't have and did not act like proper people by first leaving their partners before getting together.
But HW is far beyond that and just pathetic. Yeah, she hates HJ and WJ, but they were both adults and they made their choice. If she didn't like it, she should cut them both from her life and move on. That's what HJ did when she decided she wanted her old life back--she left WJ and cut him out of her life. Someone needs to tell HW that you can't will someone to love you, no matter how hard you want it.
Whatever happens to HW as a result of her actions now, she completely deserves and no pity due to the past is going to change that. I don't care if she lost an unborn baby while WJ wasn't around. And I do hope that Ho Su is actually HJ & her husband's child. Even if they get a divorce because of the affair, HJ can finally be rid of WJ and HW. And WJ can finally get over all that and HW will be left with nothing.
Nuanced and melodramatic. I'm enjoying this drama. I understand that HJ is not a sympathetic character but neither is HW.
HJ tried out that cheating life and decided that she wanted to go back to her rich husband. I'm not sure what HW's end game is. If she wants revenge on HJ, then I can understand why most of this drama is happening. BUT if she just wants to be happy with WJ, HW should have tried to stay away from HJ and family once she got WJ back. Instead, she's purposely causing herself heartache.
Ah, as I was writing this, I realized that maybe HW set out to get revenge but realized in the midst of it all she really still loves WJ and that revenge is hurting her too.
