I viewed it as the ML is dead and the FL is dreaming he's with her. But it could also be seen as he's somehow…
I'm like 95% convinced he dead. Because. It goes white curtain falls (symbolism... white = death / curtain = division and separation), then the young man is clearly her son. Then she's smiling at the kid, and the smile turns into the upside down kiss. Because her love for her son is a continuation of her love for ML. The fact that he's upside down shows he's coming from an opposite "something". Like the afterlife. And it means their love is still active even though they are separated by the veil that divides life from afterlife. For them it's not over and they'll reincarnate into something better because their karma from this life has them at big net positive points.
This makes it a sad ending, but actually a happier one, ultimately. Kind of clever and sweet, but I still hated the ending all in all.
I am a huge fan of small town stories so this drama is REALLY hitting the spot right now. bonus points - no ceos, and that lovely village nestled in the middle of those breath taking mountains eughh I almost think I should meditate!

That’s why south korean law of protecting minors was so weak then in 2020 they revised it to 16 years old. They were in relationship in 2015, so it was still legal by that time. That’s why the family could not sue him legally from court so they use a YouTuber to smear his name. We all know it’s still disgusting to have a relationship with someone much younger but the country itself is more disgusting to allow such things to happen to minors.
They only revised it when there was a case of 42 years old man had sex with 15 years old and he was found not guilty since the girl was in relationship with him and gave consent. Also, in south korea, they add one year bigger to their age. So by the time you were born, you were given 1 year old, they count the time of conception too. In 2015, sae ron was 16 years old in korean age.
So technically he didn’t break the law by that time. That’s why parents, when you have a daughter, protect her at all costs. Don’t let her have boyfriends especially much older male friends, even though he is famous or whatever. Teach her to use her brain, don’t work for free. Don’t help your boyfriend’s business without getting paid because he is only a boyfriend.
I think all countries have to revise the age gap. It’s more important than everything. People in relationships need to have maximum 5 years age gap. It’s already problematic to see leonardo dicaprio to always date 18 years old girls and dicth them when they turn 25. All the politicians also always have the next young thing to play with like Epstein case.

The QUALITY of this drama is SUPERB! I'll go back here once I finished the drama but damn! This is the production quality I am looking for! CFT is so pretty ♥️ and for a change LZ really made me believe of his poor man status. Worth the watch, everyone!

Anyway, here's hoping on Thursday the judges show some spine and do the right thing. There's enough corruption and authoritarians in power in the world already, they should be democratically removed when they do stuff like Yoon did.
