I surprised myself, I found myself really enjoying this drama in a crazy sort of way. This really isn't something I'd usually watch. In fact, I'd go as far as saying it's one of the best Chinese dramas of this trope that I've enjoyed. Finally a drama where the evil protagonists had to take responsibility for their evil wrongdoings, atone for their actions and were actually punished. Hurrah, I say. Usually in Chinese dramas they simply apologise and all is forgiven which pisses me off massively.

I really liked how ruthless and vile Gu Yi was in the beginning- seriously angry, bipolar and narcissistic, which I felt his character portrayed well. However, the switch to a constantly pining, crying, lovesick puppy, I found jarring and not at all believable.

Luo Zheng is a truly beautiful man. Damn, that chiselled square jawline had me mesmerised. However, why did the make-up team choose to make him vampire white - that was just weird and so off putting throughout. He Rui Xian, again, absolutely stunning - beautiful eyes and lips and finally we get a Chinese female lead who isn't stupid, whiny or needy!

It's a 9 from me.

From the comments section this looks like it’s going to be absolute hot mess…I am going in with the hope that it’s absolute over-the-top trash.

Luo Zheng will still have my support even if he is twin-less and a toxic mess. ☺️

Anyone else surprised that the FL didn’t get pregnant with twins and then ran off Paris to meet with Bai Yan. And then time skip 5 years, FL and ML meet again in China? lmao

But it still keeps us watching, so it is remarkable.

Does anyone else like the fact that we actually get a moment of interaction between YH and TY(in his dragon form) at the end where she petted him?

I mean I know that she rode on Dragon TY before in his true form but I just find that moment in the final episode to be endearing how YH petted TY in his dragon form while he was laying there like that. I also love how TY in his dragon form shows his concern that she would get hurt if she touch him, that whole scene when she pet/caress him like that was really heart warming before TY changed back to his human form 😍😍
