I've been reading posts in other platforms about how Dylan Wang has been bullied by people who were threatened by his charisma since he started in 2018. He doesn't have family wealth or a star machine to support him, like buying Weibo hot searches or paying internet armies to prop him up, counter his antis, even downgrade other actors' dramas (this is one of the things his bullies do to him), so he has to work twice as hard as other actors to get to where he is now.
I've been taking these posts with a grain of salt, but as I get to know more about his projects, I've noticed how really unfairly his dramas have been treated. For example, from what I've seen of this drama so far (it's just in its 6th episode), it's well made, directed and acted. Most of all, it has a substantial theme about the importance of education for a country's future. Definitely not fluff. Yet look at its rating (78). I would like to know people's reasons for giving this a rating less than 8. Is it because it's a war drama? Just read the title - it's a war drama. If you don't like war dramas, don't watch it.
Considering how fluffy dramas have such high ratings, it boggles the mind why a well-made drama with substance would have such a low score. Maybe that’s the sad truth about MDL ratings - fluffy dramas, especially those with much skinship, tend to score high.
The reason i signed up for MDL just to put up the profile of SHN:) that was amazing experience doing lots of researches to do🥰 But got rewarding feeling to see his profile now🥰
I was happy to see the main couple playing together again, I really like their chemistry after watching "Once…
It is superficial for now - I agree. the leads need to have some serious, thoughtful conversations instead of constantly bickering. That is not good for the child.
What I think is interesting, however, is that even though the Doctor knows the ML is his father, he is still pushing to get the FL. He's playing a bad game. However, he is waking the ML up, making him a bit jealous and realizing that he has competition.
I think both leads still love each other but refuse to admit it or even think about it.
Started this out of curiosity and it's actually interesting. Fast paced storyline and no boring moments so far. I thought this somewhat had a premise similar to My Lethal Man but it could be different if the FLs are proven to be twins. The suspense is there and worth waiting for. I'm glad this only has 16 eps. Don't have to wait for long. ML is too handsome, btw.
To put it simply, this is the best mini-drama I've ever watched. The story was really engaging. The characters were likable. Even the evil girl was so good at being evil. It was so good. And the ending was satisfying.
So entertaining to watch . Im finding that all the cdrama gems ive found for these days are the mini dramas. This is one of them. The whole show is around 3 hrs long.
I watched the whole thing on youtube. The one thing i wish they could work on is buy copyright on the bg music on yt because its weird having silence in the scenes. Although i cant complain too much because its free anyway 😭
I know the fans will probably come at me, but personally I think he didn't commit suicide (keep in mind that it is a mere speculation by the police so far) but his heart just gave out. As Astro and Moonbin-Sanha, both promoting, he was probably overworked. Idols are forced into horrible diets during promo period, ESPECIALLY the dance line like Moonbin who are known/expected to wear revealing clothes on stage so they are under a constant pressure to be sexy. I mean, we are talking about a 25yr old adult male with 6-6'2 ht and 28-30" waist (my 14 YR OLD niece has a 30" waist).
Forced dieting, overwork, maybe excessive exercises to keep that PERFECT body, plus the constant stress of public scrutiny and his poor heart just gave out.
I don't think I am taking anything away from mental health discussions, but keep in mind that these idols aren't just mentally unhealthy, they are ALSO physically unhealthy. We need more regulations, not just to help their mental health but also their physical health.
This is not typical Chinese romcom......it was a breath of fresh air. I loved the chemistry! If you are confused weather to watch, it is worth a shot if you are bored of the too conventional storylines with stereotypical leads. This is good and a bit fast-paced. Loved it!!
