I've literally tried to watch this twice and each time I end up wanting to drop it by episode 4 or so, it's just soooo slow and dull and the music is insufferable
I'm gonna have to disappoint some of you guys and let you know that the drama is clearly telegraphing Young Woo…
I'm surprised anyone would want her to end up with Myeong-seok, the first episode I thought there was some potential for chemistry the way he warmed up to her and seemed to empathize with her, but there has been no other chemistry and their relationship is professional that's it.
Controversial parts aside I absolutely loved this drama. The romance is very slow burn but I loved that. Leads were excellent (of course). With this director, I'm not surprised the comedy was so over the top but I really enjoyed it. It's way underrated IMO. Although I admit it was an interesting choice for JCW lol
OMG..!! THats not jow autistic talk or walk all the time. No way. Not every autistic person have same behaviour.…
In your opinion then, how should she have acted that would be just the right amount of autistic-like behavior to make you happy? You know nothing about autism but think you do.
She's not intentionally breaking hearts. And neither are they. They're just not a good fit, that's all.
She was stringing him along by agreeing to eat with him imo, then turned him down, then she got emotionally confused again and strung him along more hardcore by the end of ep 11 to the point that she went out to get him things to take care of him at the hospital when she is already back together with Babi, who she doesn't even want to be back with... the episode was a mess and Yumi is a mess, I don't like what she's doing to these guys' hearts, end of story

She’s being selfish about it. Like when she was eating with Woong she acted proud to let him down by telling him she was back with her boyfriend, and then happy to turn him down again when he wanted to be friends. I know they were making her stand up for herself but Woong had no idea and had been doing sweet things thinking he could get her back, and then they even showed his heart breaking and she still didn’t care. Not a good look
I'm not feeling this anymore after ep 11, Yumi going around breaking good men's hearts over and over just because she wants to do her own thing and stay true to herself. It was a good message at first but now I'm starting to not like her. Come on PDnim. I have no clue where this is going anymore, I can't imagine she'll end up with either of them at this point. Control Z keeps appearing, are they going to give him a makeover and he'll turn out to be Soonrok (3rd ML)?? lol As crazy as it sounds that's my best guess right now.
You should watch the show Love on the Spectrum on netflix because you obviously have a warped opinion of autism and the relationships these people have. They don't want to be treated like children. Not all autistic people are even disabled or need to be cared for. A lot of autistics date people on a similar developmental level to them but neurotypical people do date autistic people. It's not common and it might come with challenges like you said, but that shouldn't stop two people from falling in love. Just because it doesn't happen often in real life you think it's not okay to see it in a drama?
What is disturbing about it? I assume you think she is child-like and so he must be taking advantage of her. She is very intelligent and has feelings for him back. Your thought process is toxic.
This is disturbing. And the most disturbing thing is, that most people don't think it's disturbing. The girl is…
Ok so I can see where you're coming from about some parts being boring, the case format in dramas doesn't hold my attention and I could do without it. But this is still a really high quality drama and there is nothing wrong with the romance, it is not "disturbing," autistic people desire relationships and non-autistics are more than welcome to date autistics. There is nothing wrong with it so please. And the fact that you basically compared it to loving robots and demons, holy shit.
JCW is a great actor who has the unfortunate gift of choosing very bad scripts. Melting Me Softly, K2, Lovestruck…
I'm loving Backstreet Rookie, although the controversial aspects are obvious. Imo it's still a must see if you're a fan of his comedy. Lovestruck, K2, Melting Me Softly, even Suspicious Partner I didn't really like. TSOM and Healer are two of the best dramas of all time for me. The lackluster roles don't make me think of his performances any less, only disappointed that he should have better roles. It's okay to not like all of an actor's dramas. If anything it's better to feel that they deserve more and want better roles for them.
It will take place, mostly in hospice. The main lead should not be the one sick, he will work there.
He won't, the "incident" and him reaching the end of his life in the synopsis is probably talking about a suicide attempt or just him at a breaking point in life
I'm trying hard not to keep my expectations too high.Jcw , this time please don't disappoint and give us a masterpiece!!
I agree but there have been exceptions, especially TSOM. It seems when he was trying to get away from action he or his management focused on comedy...which he is also great at...but imo he is so talented he should have focused on drama, melodrama and slice of life, serious heavy roles which is where he would really shine, instead of romcom goofy scripts
