I noticed that too. Not sure why they felt the need to make some side characters like duan jiaxu lighter/comedic relief even when it doesn't fit their original characters. They did that to Victor Ma's role in HL too I think side characters get typecast like that a lot

I could see myself maybe getting into this if the characters weren't so spastic. I hope everyone calms the hell down. I get it's supposed to be a form of physical comedy but it's too much.

I'm impressed. It's rare to find a male writer who blows me away writing romance... it's just the way it is, women are usually more in tune to romance and the female audience...but holy $%&^ some of the scenes, tension and writing in first frost 🤤🤤 just a masterpiece. Well done, sir!

it's cute. If you like slow-burn chemistry focused dramas you should like it

Idk what happened there, they had good chemistry at first and then it kind of went nowhere and they were like watching paint dry. I ended up skipping most of their scenes bc there was no chemistry and they felt like filler.

Same, I'm not feeling her. She is elegant but I don't think her face is attractive to be honest, she has a very unique look and for something exotic like Forbidden Flower she fit but here she doesn't fit the cute role to me.

Yeah I couldn't tell if she was so upset that he didn't tell her about it or if it was just the fact that he had a kid or what? It's not a crime to have a kid even if she doesn't want to be a stepmom. She was such a baby in this episode and I hope she at least apologizes to him especially since he took it so well.

I loved that, at least he was super happy about it in the end bc he could tell what it meant so all is forgiven lol. Good writing. I just hope FL learns from this

ML is so cute and sweet in this he's like a puppy. I felt bad for him with all the misunderstandings in episode 9 he totally didn't deserve that like you could see the hurt and confusion in his face every time she gave him the cold shoulder. I'm glad the miscommunication was cleared up and I liked how the writer turned it into him figuring out she had feelings for him.

She was seriously so red flag in this episode and treated him like garbage and with zero communication skills but I'm glad the misunderstanding was cleared up.

Apparently it is not for you. It's a vibe. A lot of people love slow burn chemistry-focused dramas like this. Nothing exciting has to happen for the chemistry to carry the show, but if you're not into that or feeling it, you're not going to like it.
