Not much game setting really. More kind of slice of life

I'm enjoying it...but do I think it's 8.7 good? Personally no. I expected a lot more enemies to lovers within the game aspect based on the trailer. For me the plot is kind of dragging a bit

I am loving this a lot, BUT I do wish their first in person meeting had been more eventful...I was expecting more. They both thought they recognized each other's voices before and eagerly were thinking they saw the other person a few times, so there was a lot of tension and build up there, but then when it happened he just accidentally stepped outside next to her one day and she offers him an umbrella and he ignores her. I would have loved to see one of them maybe not recognize each other while the other did, or for him to try to hide his identity from her outside the game or something.

Question about episode 3, I haven't watched further yet but did he not recognize her when she offered him her umbrella?

I love it. Love unique comedy done well like this and I love the ML especially in these roles. He does best in these more masculine rolls imo, like this and My Name, not when they try to make him look like Rowoon with way too much makeup. I just hope a more normal side to the ML starts to come out, as of now he's really over the top ridiculous, in a good way but almost like too much of a caricature... I wanna see something realistic to connect with his character...then again I probably should just shut my brain off for this one lol

I struggled through the first 2 episodes. Does it get better?

Their chemistry was good, the little of it we saw. Too much palace politics and other stuff. Hope next episode is better

About to start ep 4. Does it ever stop being campy or is this just one of those wattpad coded type dramas

Yes I can name them but not sure what your point is. I just do not like dramas in case format, especially legal or medical ones, I prefer dramas that follow the traditional format, one singular focal story without multiple different stories of cases interspersed and distracting from it.

Dramas like this make me really miss the old days when kdramas were more built upon unique engaging plot instead of just recycled tropes, love triangles and never-ending misunderstandings.

No hate for JCW I love him and like you he used to be my favorite, for me starting back in Healer days. Lots of his projects I still really like such as Worst of Evil he was really good there, and his acting was amazing in Lovestruck in the City, Most of Sound of magic was amazing imo too. But I know what you mean. Sometimes lately it can feel like he's overacting

Haven’t finished episode 2 yet, but even though it’s so cliche in many places, it’s cliche done well. I’m enjoying this more than I thought I would. They have great chemistry. I’ll bet the ex comes crawling back within the next few episodes.
