I made it all the way to the last episode - but then, after the "10 years later" scene on the rooftop,…
"weirdly watchable but ultimately just not good." 😆 That exactly summed up my feelings on it!

I was planning to watch this because of the concept. But the rating is very low. Is it that bad?
I thought it was super fun! Don't go in expecting a masterpiece, but it was a great time. If you like Ocean's Eleven, heist-like stuff this will be right up your alley!

Title When the Phone Rings Spoiler
I finished watching the last 5 episodes yesterday, and... It was ok, I enjoyed it.I guess I'm not a sucker for…
Totally agree, I also thought he was saying they were related or something haha! I think the last two eps could’ve really worked if they’d just given him a better reason for needing to disappear!! I even liked that they brought it back round to the ‘when the phone rings’ concept, just needed better motivation to make the ending work…

Someone tell me its worth continuing-I’m on ep 3 and really having a hard time staying engaged with this show.…
I think if you’re not enjoying the first few eps you probably won’t enjoy the rest. First halfish are definitely the better eps of the series.

Why the rating is so low ? Any suggestion for this drama if u watched it
I think people were watching expecting a classic romance happy ending and the story is actually a lot more about human relationships and their complexities and lasting impact. I think it’s really well done and was actually a great watch if you know what you’re getting into!

Why do I feel bad for Jo Deuk Chan ?! 💔 He really loved Do Ha and he was ready to take this feelings to the…
Seriously! And I know it doesn't make it okay, but everything he did was for Do Ha! The man literally built an entertainment company so he could make music and do the thing he loved! I really wish they would've spent more time on the moral complexities of their relationship and that revelation.

This was awesome!! Such a well designed show. Incredibly impressive participants! I wish it was getting more hype the way Physical 100 did. This was a way more interesting show and it deserves so much more credit! Watching these women use the skills and tools of their trade to survive and strategize was super cool, so much for respect them!

Not a through review but i havent felt like it was made for a male gaze while watching it. It was shot with a…
I agree, it didn't feel pandering in anyway, nor was there really that much emphasis on them being women. There was no "and can you believe it's a woman doing this?". It was just an irrefutable fact that they were all incredibly capable women and they were competing based on their abilities. Actually the teams being made up of women faded into the background for me, I didn't think about it at all. I was just on the edge of my seat and in awe the whole time watching the competition.

This was just a lot of fun!! They really captured the magic of what people loved about the first series and infused the sequel with it! Which is hard to do and often where sequels go wrong. But the writers and producers perfectly understood what was great about S1 (namely the brothers' dynamic and the fantastical world and perfectly delivered- sarcastic- dark humor). Plus a new interesting story that built enough off S1 that they could just jump right into the world, but also in a way that established new, fun lore so it all felt fresh and exciting. Can't wait for S3!

I was so pleasantly surprised by this drama! I really expected this to just be your classic, cookie cutter sageuk (and in some ways it is!) but the story was so much more fun and interesting then I thought it would be! It was a damn good mystery, it has great misdirects and the unravelling was well done! I was impressed with how much each episode kept the plot moving forward and with the pacing. I think that’s a pretty persistent problem in sageuks, a lot of the time the story gets a little stale and it feels like the writer is just spinning their wheels until they can wrap it up with the final episodes. But with TSRG each episode was clearly leading somewhere and building to the end climax. I know some reviewers disagree, but I've watched a lot of sages and to me this one felt like every episode was a step forward, which was really great. I enjoyed it, this was a good one!

Title Bloodhounds
Is it very obvious they had to cut a lot of stuff with the actress who got a DUI? Does it still make sense?
Yes, the story still makes sense with the rewrites, but you can definitely feel the shift in direction. Story was still comprehensive enough to be able to finish the series, but I don’t think the ending was as strong as it could’ve been without the rewrites. Still worth the watch though I think!

it's very hard to follow at times, also the older male characters all look alike, like there are at least 3-4…
Agreed! I did really enjoy this drama and thought overall it was well written and well done, but I had to rewind so many times to tell all the middle aged men apart and really get down who was who haha

I loved Forecasting Love and Weather!! I binged the hell out of it! I don't know why people have been so harsh, I think some people find the introspective nature of the show to be slow paced. I completely disagree, I was enthralled by the entire show the whole time! People are complicated and emotions are complicated and people have a very hard time sorting through those emotions which this story demonstrated beautifully. The way they drew similarities between weather phenomena and the characters was so well done and poignant. I thought this story and all of the characters were just so incredibly well written. The characters were well-rounded, complete human beings, each with their own failings and fears and wishes. It was a really beautiful story, I just loved it so much! Will definitely watch other dramas by Kang Eun Kyung!

Person Kwon Do Eun
Oh Kwon Do Eun... I remember after I finished Search: WWW I went to look up what else she’d done cause I loved it so so much but she hadn’t written anything else at that point. Now I know it’s because she was spending her time plotting to fucking destroy us all and tear our hearts to shreds! Twenty Five Twenty One was so masterfully written!! It was just incredible. The way she can bring a story to life and make you feel so unbelievably immersed in the world. She writes these characters that are so fully developed and so real. The complexity that she can build into such delicate and nuanced storytelling is just astounding. I will watch anything she writes, forever!

After seeing her as Dan Sol in the 1st episode of Bulgasal I really need Seungyeon in another historical drama.…
You should watch her in My Only Love Song! It’s a historical as well. It’s certainly less serious than Bulgasal and has a bit of a variety show vibe, but it was so fun and she was excellent in it! One of my favorites!
