well im kinda deep into the bl fandom (the stan culture) and a huge percentage of these bl fans are young audience. they're usually the ones who hype the show and make it trending, while mature viewers tend to just watch silently. the problem that i noticed is scd is not reaching that side of bl world, the center stage, the stan culture. and the possible explanations i could think of is maybe because it's not the usual bubbly bl like most thai bls? and also the topxbottom dynamic? you see, i can't help but compare this to revenged love—that one was so popular the whole stan culture of bl world tuned in. and while it also contained some blood and action scenes, it had the classic cool top x cute bottom dynamic that's everyone's favorite.. when i wrote that maybe it had to do with the dark theme and cool bottom character, i also thought this wasn't the first coz kp and j&j were popular. but the difference is that they're thai bls, and thai bls have an established fandom to begin with. history trapped on the other hand, is an old bl when it aired people didn't have much variety so they'd watch anything. the ones who watched and made the show popular back then are already old now lol. the eras are different, scd aired in a time where people have so much bls to choose from. it's hard to pique their interest. not to mention, scd is a SLOW BURN. yea i think this is one of the most plausible reasons. slowburn is not everyone's cup of tea. now what bugs me too is why this isn't getting much hype in china. i thought chinese fans like basically anything lmao i wonder what part of this show doesn't appeal to their standards? maybe it's leads' visuals? i mean yes the actors are good looking but they have some high beauty standards there. anyways in conclusion i can't come up with a solid reason why this isn't getting hype!

agree with everything that you've said! i think one of the major reasons why this isn't being talked about enough is because of the pretty top x power bottom dynamic! most bl fans aren't used to this trope yet, they'd still prefer cute bottoms. also the aesthetics of this show don't appeal to much younger audiences, it's not glittery eyecandy silly show that's easy to digest... this show imo is for more mature bl fans who crave for something new. it's also a bad timing that this is airing at the same time with duang with you which is the one being watched now by everyone. i hope im making sense lol sorry for my english
