Yes, so that whole thing about those 3 are complicated. You’ll see it as the drama progresses. LR and PWX were married, they were starting to like each other and become ‘official’ until something happened. PWX had a moonlight. LR couldn’t bare her expectations broken, she separated from PWX. Some other things happened, and she ‘fell’ for SRQ years later. She had been living with SRQ ever since for like some 20-30 years in that first lifetime. She liked PWX, tolerated him as a political partner after the separation but ultimately gave her affection to SRQ as a ‘male pet’ by her side.
Finally! Been waiting for this because it has the same novel writer of Destined. 🥰
I know!! The writing was great. However, I read the novel thinking it was going to be like Long Wind Crossing (Destined) and I was wrong. This one has way more political issues and revolves around the fl.
I find it very interesting that despite their history, she believes him when he tells her he has no part in killing…
Correct me, I haven’t watch the episodes yet. Did they ever mention that they had made a pact in which they were using each other for political gains and promised they wouldn’t kill each other unless the other makes the move first? In the novel, Li Rong has said SRQ may or may not have liked her in that first lifetime but she knew he wasn’t all that much of a saint either. SRQ was someone whom she kept at arms length because he had his own reasons to stay close to her not purely because he only liked her. She only liked the attention and affection he was giving her because she was afraid to be ‘alone’ after her separation from PWX. It was explained in that forest scene that since she had ordered a hit on PWX first, the pact is now invalid however, she died before he could really kill her. Li Rong had misunderstood that from the way he was speaking as if he would really kill her the day she died and SRQ wording inciting her to come to a conclusion that PWX was the one that killed her made her order the hit. PWX isn’t the type to lie, so since he says he didn’t, he wouldn’t have. They literally knew each other inside and out better than themselves.
I wonder if here their children will make a appearance? Or only the daughter ?!!
I feel like most dramas that’s adapted has this weird thing with the children where they put them at the very end when the novel has included them in the middle of the story or they change it somehow with different genders. Let’s hope we get to see them all like how the epilogue in the novel has written.
Making a guess, Rong Qing is actually poisoning her? 🤷♀️ 😆 Typical cdrama trope if thats the case.
Like Xiao An has said, that was what we were made to believe as it’s the very beginning. I personally hated Su Rong Qing for being a hypocrite and backstabbing her without telling. The person who did it is someone way closer to her.
I really like this one. It’s like Reset and The Legendary Life of Queen Lau mashed up together. The themes from those in this one are the use of ‘time rewind’ after dying and the comedy, romantic notes along the serious tone of their ‘adventures’ while you see the Prime Minister is the one wielding power, and has more influence and control above the emperor in court. The FL and main characters (both male and female) knows martial arts which is really nice to see them all try to fight and a ML who finally knows the FL’s identify during the first couple of episodes. No need for assuming identities of your sister before an arranged marriage she didn’t want and ML not knowing, she literally kidnaps her sister, sent her away and tells the ML, the princess was missing and he (along with some of those around him) knows she’ll have to marry in the eldest princess’s place from the start.
Can someone please tell me which episode does ML discover his wife’s identity? Thanks
ML was sus in the middle of ep 14, he confronted her directly with evidence by ep 15 of her identity as Liu Rong. He didn’t discover her identity of being the Willow Leaf Thief Liu until the very end of ep 19, and confronted her about it in ep 20. He knew about her being the child she saved him then, and they talk about it at the end of ep 23.
Here’s the offical page of the correct link. Unfortunately, you have to google translate as there’s no English…
People were warned not to post unofficial sites since we try to support the direct author which is why I only listed the official novel page. If you copy and paste the raw title and author, the writing in the middle above the table, on google, it’ll show some sites, you just got to find the right one that’s free.
Doea this drama have a second female lead who is evil and in love with the male lead like tries to ruin the leads…
The plot and personalities of the characters are at this point not indicating of such thing. Don’t worry, it won’t look like The Substitute Princess Love style. This one however has a brother who’s clingy towards the fl and quite active in inserting himself between the couple.
Haven't seen the leading actress for a while since The Romance of Hua Rong!
I saw she did a minor role in Being a Hero since The Romance of Hua Rong which were memorable. I just feel a little weird since her chemistry with Yuan Hou was amazing and now she’s paired up with Wang You Shuo, I haven’t even gotten over the Young Blood days with this guy lol.
this ain't coming. ever. same for the demon hunters romance n other song zu ers dramas.
I was really hoping that post was fake news, was it officially announced on Weibo or something? I was super excited to see Liu Yu Ning finally doing an arrange marriage genre but wasted potential because of shelving. I might as well go and read the novel to self sooth.
I truly believe in another life, Gu Jiu Si and Luo Zi Sheng would have been the best of friends. this was an epic…
There was an epilogue in the novel about Jiang He’s incarnation into another timeline. He picked up Luo Zi Shang and raised him to be the best person. Essentially, these two cousins have a great relationship in that life.
