Did anyone else realise as the women in cdramas get more and more powerful (especially this year), the men in…
the start of a new era?? 😂 bxg romances have always been toxic since they’ve been around for a long time, and many books that have been bought for adaptation from years ago were most likely written dramatically as the demographic calls for it back then, they’re just becoming a lot more conservative since more people are now tired of this kind of plot and are more supportive of ‘healthy’ relationships ie women empowerment.

bl especially the Chinese ones have only just started coming out in recent years, some are adaptations of bl books that are written from long ago with toxic elements that they can’t really rewrite and some bls are bought rewritten to make it bromance instead lol i guess they have bigger budget for that. there isn’t many uncensored bl Chinese ones so it skews the bl men vs woman empowerment romance dramas a bit. I reckon they’ll be a phase where they make this type of toxic bl bc it just emotionally provokes you to watch just like straight romances once did long ago.

Title Dear Enemy
With the plot progression in the first few episodes, there is no way this is going to be 10 episodes. This is…
Ohsweethaven have updated the total eps to 34 as of current, by the time ep one aired, it was still listed as 10 so I just forgot mdl submits the wrong ones sometimes too 😂

it would not work out if it really was 10 eps and that was my concern. these days, lakorns are now 30-40 minutes and no longer twice as long like before. honestly the plot picked up in ep 3 and 4 a little, but it’s ‘fast paced’ in my opinion. they didn’t linger much on the wedding scenes and then just went straight into the action scenes.

I agree it’s dated, not sure about the og book though, I was expecting action scenes like the other ch5 lakorns years ago lol

a ‘classic’ HE. for 8 eps, the plot isn’t too bad but unfortunately, very basic. casts are nice, costume are ok, the editing is a little bad, like that one scene where they filmed man being stabbed with a bloodless sword lol but it’s fine. it’s just too short!

anyone found the OST yet?

there are a ton of Daomu Biji shows. You should just read the novel spoilers 😭 I'd recommend watching the Ultimate…
not really, TLoZH is more of an ‘Easter egg’ featuring The Grave Robbers legends and stuff, so I’ve been told.

ep 19 and 20 is the IT episodes for me today.

the most thrilling thing is that ZHL is ZQS second uncle, this is the greatest philosophy ever! 😂

I know some people are a little disappointed by some castings not reprising but honestly Han Dong is killing this role and suit appearance is absolutely superb.

Ohhhh, nooo, the character introductions ....I highly appreciate adding in the actual scents of the characters…
in a world of pheromones, I can now understand why some are seriously fainting left and right 😂😂

didn't realize from the start that liu qing was playing here. only realized it in episode 9
yh they dressed him up like an actual prisoner about to be executed alright. 😂😂 some scenes flew quick as a flashback, I had to focus on the subtitles and what the fl was doing and couldn’t recognise his makeup face other than his voice.

Title Ashes to Crown Spoiler
among Xiao xun, deng yi and xie yanfang who lived or died??
no, none of them have any past life memories except CZ, she did tell XYL about it somewhere halfway through on how it ended and why she’s trying to change that fate.

the ‘revenge’ is that XX personally still has plans to kill her and her clan. the others didn’t necessarily have to take action like he does. he was the one who personally beheaded her own father before killing her, he would’ve done so had she not broken off the marriage and became the Grand Princess in this life too. dying the same way means she was gifting him the same treatment he had given her the last life and it doesn’t matter whether he remembers or not, he would not have hesitated in killing her or her family at all.

Also,Haixia telling Haiyan that he didn’t cry for him but is crying over some food. I’m like sir,do you know…
and then the next two episodes, ZHL was like “I don’t have to push you in a wheelchair now” then took it back right after 😭

they all died. they all died in the order you described lol

XX died by CZ hands the same way he killed her. DY was sentenced to death for choosing to aid XX, both in ep 23. XYF ‘outsmarted’ everyone but died by poison CZ knifed him in ep 24.

Plot wise it's fine, lots to tell yet. But I'm more concerned that he started walking so fast in general. It's…
lol I once read a very passionate comment from somewhere arguing about Chinese medicine vs western re basic things like taking the pulse or how Chinese medicine can miraculously cure people who tried western in a book plot. everything fiction is fiction. you just have to make it make sense without actually trying to make it make sense. 😂
