i watched ep.1 -- remove the age gap and it's probably the best BL I've seen in a while, the acting/chemistry/cinematography/writing are all so high quality - the actual actors are 23 and 28 in real life so i just wish they changed that part of the original story and made Shin like a senior in university or something (i haven't read the manga so i don't know how important him being in HS is to the story but)
Instead of romance, it is like both of them are personifications of each others greatest desire. For one it is…
i agree i think this book 1/season 1 is not about the relationship but more of a lesson on the misunderstandings that can come with perceiving (idolizing) each other without actually getting to really know each other. If we get S2 and more based on the next books then it would be the ~lovey dovey BL~ people were expecting cuz then they're actually going to open up, get to know each other's real sides, and deconstruct their pre-conceived notions of each other.
It's funny to me how the character Kiyoi in the show wants to be an idol & the real life Yusei went through a similar thing until he ultimately passed the TV audition to become a member of FANTASTICS. The parallels are crazy, omg
is there anyone subbing this apart from gagaoolala? i feel like their subs aren't /as/ accurate (it's especially noticeable in episode 3) I understand Japanese and pick up on some errors...
very honestly ,, i dont see how hira is freaky ,, i think hes socially inept (not sure if thats the right term)…
i agree, i haven't read the novel so i don't know but i'm guessing hira has some sort of complex or trauma that makes him act like this. Search up "echoist" its someone who ~puts up with~ being bossed around/the victim/mistreated one cause it's all they know & safe for them rather than taking charge.
