We have not seen this, but if doctor truly can chose to "HEAL" a dead person then this HAS TO HAS TO BE A Virtual game. Doctor is not "saving" but "healing" . That difference is huge. Director will not show us a bloody dead person being saved by doctor because then the mystery of the drama gets revealed.
Also, 1. everytime they take a photo, faces of folks get cut. -> easy if a code is in place 2. not moving birds... you can't cover a place.. they can see the sky.. so for sure people have to "feel" like they are in the real world - Squid game, red rose game.. and the sky above :P
3. how do you control people - injecting a chip or something .. how do you achieve that? this is not something they would have eaten ( or maybe they did).. but if they are NPCs/ in a game.. then moving controls is feasible
Bigger question - May be this is not about revenge of a student BUT rather a group attempting to put a plan to action to correct the bullying culture in South Korea.
The Japanese series essentially had adults doing this to kids to tame them. Maybe here, it is about punishing students who do or support bullying (could be teachers, could be govt., could be some education system's efforts)
