She didn't get herself in any mess.. that was her plan.. she wanted to mess with her.. had ML not given up the app code to save FL, FL would not have gone to her parents..
However, FL always had the full proof plan of making sure she teaches the other girl a lesson and does not get affected much.. smart girl i say

Partly is because everything turned out as predicted.. but still somehow, earlier episodes could still keep audience invested despite 99% surity of who, what, when... but these last few episodes are just meh
