i had that opinion earlier.. but not now..
the more i see this drama, the more obvious is that outside of JJ being the grounding agent.. everything else is at periphery..

the one who is going to be the brother, has lesser of mom issue..
the one who is going to be love interest, drama made sure he has no one but JJ to stabilize him (ZQ has a best friend in that lawyer guy, has a healthy relationship with other people in school.. was part of team activities, sports etc).. BUT LX.. while he is the best at everything, very sorted, capable of giving great advice to others.. BUT No.. he has only JJ in life..and every woman is just wrong ( FX is nosy, MY was not asking about his health and essentially not being genuine (let's forget that JJ wasn't asking either.. and i don't buy her dad forbade to ask questions), mom and sister have anyways been done dirty)

After the 1st 10 episodes, this has totally turned into a romance drama.

Friendship is good.. but there too .. see how drama is trying to show the JJ is the best (stable, making money, publically being well known, she is confident, the girls depend on her more than she does)


LOL>> i honestly love JJ's ex boyfriend.. because he is truly the only normal sane person and who basically knows he is better than JJ (and soemone JJ needs to show her perspective instead of her being his reason for staying sane ) :P

she has always been badmouthing mom..

What does she know of losing her own child.. given she is the peer..and ZQ never goes against her.. and LX had no other friends.. what do you think the impact would be of constantly hearing that his mom is not nice from his only one friend circle..

the way she behaved with younger sister when she came for the 1st time.. there has been a clear undertone of her not liking anyone, or anyone becoming a priority for LX.. she was out an out rude to the young girl (good that the sister was rude in return, JJ deserved it)


HOWEVER, she has truly loved LX.. and so has her father..
So, while mom can be angry with her (and i get that.. it stemmed from the fact how dad was going around befriending everyone and being happy in life).. but that whole "making money" .. is lowest of the low blow

ya.. she doesnt' like that her son doesn't need her.. and well her husband is happy after ruining her life (this part i am with mom..i have no sympathy for the dad and whoever joins dad in mocking the mom.. aka li ba and jj)

JJ's mom would have been nice only because she is the mom of female lead..

Essentially, you know how teen romance novels are - teenage girl is epicenter of male lead, second male lead, third male lead's attention, emotional stability.. all boys will be drop dead gorgeous but somehow only teenage female lead can emotionally stabilize them..hence they are obsessed with her and romantically very intense :P

And this really sells..

That's exactly what go ahead is doing..

Showing every other woman in bad light to highlight how much JJ is central to boys lives..

I think i might change my point of view on this show and agree with avenuex... this plot at crux of it is very very very shallow and problematic

Ya ya.. TGCF is one example.. you find these motifs everywhere..

In fact untamed is a let down once you start reading more chinese novels. That story brings nothing new. .. but ofcourse for most international audience it is probably one of the first (and rare well translated novels available)

I am just saying, for native audience...seeing all these motifs again and again and again would be boring. So a drama has to be real real real good to grasp native audience's attnetion
