in the drama, they have made it a point that FL is that star for ML.. so polaris has a strong contextual tone in the drama.. tempest however is completely different direction.. polaris makes me doubt FL and her role.. whereas tempest tells me this is a love story and main couple r genuine/no spies

This is what happened


1. MIL was spying on MJ via her phone on which her secy had installed spy app. MIL released the sex audio

2. MJ/FL had bugged the cross and gave it back to ML in one of the earlier episodes

3. ML had aligned with his agency to initially bug FL- but ONLY ONE bug was allowed.


In ep 6/7 - FL was listening in on the whole conversation that ML had with his agency and government guys via the necklace and she ran away into the woods later. When her secretary told her about spy app on her phone that is when she realized that MIL had leaked the audio

There is one doubt i will raise in my theory

What i find IMMENSELY INTERESTING IS the choice of FL being a character who was with the other party before and married a man belonging to the other party.

Her and her husband's political perspective is also very different!

1. Two key things required to win this election - destroy opposition (either the philosophy o fthe party or the candidate) AND sway population opinion on unification in favour of your own party's philosophy

What happened - a) opposition candidate Junik is eliminated b) his strongest replacement will also be eliminated, FL c) in both cases setup is to portray them as NK spies d) Junik is eliminated while CHANGING and MOVING AWAY from his party's anti unification agenda = candidates and philosophy totally destroyed

Who benefitted? - USA comes out looking like warmonger, China not improving its image in the world as unreliable, NK coming out as pompous beating its own trumpet. Anti unification sentiments died down.

3. Stella young was very LOUD about buying submarine components and evidence too easily given to both US and that korean-american guy. NK n China have to be exceptionally stupid to do this.... MIL is stella young, that i had guessed early on... but she has this shipping business.. and she is not a NK spy...

I will put my money on Stella Young being forced into this ploy by SOuth Korean Powers.

Here, my theory and overall i think this entire script is basically a Internal South Korean Power Conflict ONLY. All other countries , agencies were just a red herring.

Presidential elections were coming up. Junik was extremely popular. Young South Korea was moving away from Korea unification as an election agenda which did not leave the other party with much options (because outside of that - inflation, corruption, unemployment, security.. etc would always be anti incumbent issue)
