i’d say it’s sort of high risk, high reward. high risk of getting attacked and dragged online if an actor/actress doesn’t fit a reader’s expectations. high reward if they do fit and give a great performance. idk much but in my personal opinion, i feel like drama could seriously advance someone’s career if executed well.

ok the rating for this needs to be higher. acting, costumes, ost, cinematography, script, humor, chemistry, cgi, etc are all absolutely fantastic. i am having a BLAST watching this. i am enjoying the humor bc i have a feeling its gonna be very angsty later 🧎♂️

prime minister’s adopted son sends assassins to kill sui ge, but when sui ge kills the son, suddenly the prince is lawless and an evil villain and declares a blood debt. HELLO????? the son wouldn’t have died if he didn’t try and kill the prince and then harm his soldiers too?!? the lack of logic, hypocrisy and self victimization is INSANE.
since it’s totally okay for the son to send assassins to kill the prince, then i suppose the prince should’ve done the same lest he be called lawless. 🤡🤡🤡

glad there are others who can relate so i’m not alone (sorry!). from what i’m seeing, this show seems to be giving everyone withdrawals 😭truly one of the most enjoyable shows in recent years 🥹

happy and very satisfying ending. probably the most satisfying ending i’ve seen in years. he becomes a commoner, li shuang’s death is faked and they leave their kingdoms behind and live happily together :)
i finished this like a week and a half ago or whatever day it was the last episodes dropped and i can’t move past this 🧎♂️not only is there a cdrama drought rn but i also have no excitement to watch anything else 😭 this was just SO good and satisfying. i enjoyed the entire show but IM MISERABLE NOW THOUGH 😭🧎♂️
