young jiwons were perfect

this has been said many, many times before but the teenage jiwons??? absolutely amazing. i adore them so so much. the drama is 12 episodes long but i wish we had 4 episodes more just dedicated to the younger versions and their high school days and after. the flashbacks we got were not enough and the young actors really deserved more screen time. i would have preferred them over the weird dynamic with the second couple. it’s such a shame because i spent most of the drama skipping their scenes and hoping to get more flashbacks to the younger jiwons.

the older versions were not bad perse and while the actor playing the ML was okay, the actress for FL was a questionable choice for me. it could be because of the chemistry or the simple fact that the older versions were not interesting enough compared to the younger ones. the reunion i liked well enough and i did love the moments when you could see how much the ML still adored the FL but the storyline in present day was just bland. their past was a lot more fun to explore and i honestly just loved the hospital scenes. i wanted to stay in that time and get to know the characters there. present jiwons did not hold a candle to it and i was always disappointed when the flashbacks ended.

the nurse story was interesting enough i suppose but not something i cared overly about in the end because there just wasn’t enough information about it. the second couple were mostly dull and stole screen time that could have been used better - the same for the best friend with the love triangle and how that conclusion came??? well at least she came to her senses and was helpful i suppose.
the present students or i guess “the next gen” were not very necessary in my eyes?? i can see they were trying to recreate the jiwon teenage dynamic with two of the students and i can both appreciate and hate it because again??? could have used that time to show more flashbacks instead. i’m very bitter about this.

so. rating this 8/10 simply because the young actors who played both jiwons deserve this number and overall it was not a bad drama, but if we had those extra episodes or at least more flashbacks, i might have enjoyed this a lot more. blame it on the casting or writing, i just want to see the young jiwons again.
