21 episodes in now and the more I watch it the more I think Feng Shizhen isn't actually a "strong female" lead in a "man-woman relationship" way. she said those words to Jiashang just to manipulate him, not actually that she meant them. like when she said "I won't wait for you for the whole of my life".... I mean, if I were her and a spy who work so hard to wreak havoc on my enemy's home and business, of course I would say that to his son to accomplish my mission, not that I actually meant it. moreover, when she left she deliberately left that note for Jiashang and thought, "I hope your reaction will be the one I think it'll be". well.....?????????
1). gosh, the Rong family's household looks just like a Qing Dynasty harem palace drama in disguise LOL 2). is it only me or the middle part of the opening tune sounds just like Sherlock's opening theme?
Dropped this the first time we tried to watch it. FL was too annoying. A friend told us it got better so started…
well, I pretty like the FL character coz she's an honest person, matching the no-nonsense personality of the ML.
but yes, I agree that the triangle romance is cringey, the ML's cousin is horrible (I almost skipped her part, too! :D), and yes, the villain is very fun to watch. love him, LOL.
