I watched this drama years after watching Reply 1997 and Reply 1994 (my favorite).
I loved the vibe, as usual, but I feel like it lost some of the charm of the original Reply series. If you watch it as a standalone drama, like most people do, you’ll probably love it. But as someone who knows the series well, I felt like it was missing some of the things that made the previous Reply dramas so special, especially the iconic reply scenes.
The ending wasn’t great either. It followed the group of friends, but it didn’t really show us what happened to all of them, which felt disappointing.
The FL character was also lacking a lot, and her sister was honestly the most annoying character. 😭
I felt bored at times, especially during the last few episodes.
The music was good, and the nostalgic vibe was definitely on point, but honestly, for me, there wasn’t much more to it. It was enjoyable, but compared to the other Reply dramas, it just didn’t have the same magic.
