Suntiny is a riot
Their last serious series blew me away, and I cried so much that I was hoping for a tongue-in-cheek series. Well, they are nailing it. This is hilarious, and I applaud them for their creativity. The Freaky Friday trope is challenging to execute, so it was exciting to watch how they navigated it as artists. There were additional great actors like Earth and others who added to the overall experience. If you're looking for a funny NC flick with some twists & turns, this is for you. This has comedy, relationships, family drama, friendship drama, and some corniness, which adds to its appeal; it checks all the boxes. I have been surprised and have laughed out loud. I'm so used to Max's usual strong, sexy, cool, fearful previous roles; this was a diversion, and he nailed his role.Was this review helpful to you?

A deeper series that offers richness and love
If you are looking for "Only Friends" or some sexually charged series, this probably isn't for you. But if you like animals, love the acting skills of the cast, and what they can bring to any script, then this is for you. The RomCom/Supernatural/drama trope is for me. More than that, I think that if I had a young child who was getting ready to come out or was in the contemplation stage, this series would champion the "love is love" message, and it would hit home. I would let my young teen watch this and understand that the choice of who to love is fine with me.There was parent-child conflict, sibling conflicts, and, quite frankly, real-life situations (minus the talking cats) that can happen in our own lives. I definitely identified with the mother as a mom with a son, so I cried during so many different scenes. The emotions are what you would expect from the main leads; they are amazing actors. With more dialogue and less action in this series, the actors had to carry the scenes. Dialogue, gestures, gazes, blocking, the cat cafe setting, and the beauty of Thailand were also evident. I loved the underlying messages of spirituality and passing down culture and food in our families, which really resonated with me. It's a quick, cute, and meaningful series to watch with the whole family, really.

Better than Expected
First, some BLs are a bit cringy (intimate scenes) for me. But TF shows the intimate scenes with more passion and romance if you ask me. The acting is top-notch, from the main cast to the supporting cast. The music is fantastic, and the angles of the (camera) film were great as well. Sometimes, the camera shakes (in other films) a little, and I hate that. The costume scenes were filled with conviction, and overall, I've seen some of the trailers for future episodes, and it should continue along these lines. All intimate scenes should be done with this level of attention and filming how two people falling in love begins. I believe the audience can recall what they felt like when they began falling for someone. Wow, so far impressed. Tons of chemistry.Was this review helpful to you?
This was AMAZING
This series deserves a 10. It was amazing. I want to review without spoilers. If you like a dark comedy, but not too dark, this is a movie for you. The dark was dark, but the comedy was hilarious. It was almost like a duck out of water in the character's mind. It is hard to explain without giving spoilers. I must say that I've seen a great deal of Asian cinema, and this is top-notch. I hope it has won some awards. And if you're a fan of hot Korean men, then this will not disappoint you. This does not have romance, but it wasn't needed; it's perfect as is. The editing, camera work, allusions to literature, art, artists, and other films are a huge plus. Someone put a lot of effort into this script, and it's well worth it.Was this review helpful to you?
Interesting Worth the Watch
It was one of my first BLs, so I was excited. I had to watch some parts because the translation isn't perfect, and I didn't expect it to be. I was new to the genre as well, so I paid particular attention to the storyline. I know some people received lower ratings, but I tried not to read them before watching, as I like to form my own opinion. If you observe, you will see the beauty of the film like I did. I recommend it; if you are an English watcher, then pay close attention to body language and gestures; however, the subtitles may have already been updated. I'm already a fan of most of the actors, and if you like this genre and like the actors listed, give it a try and be open-minded.Was this review helpful to you?
Wonderful must watch (BR/almost BL)
If you are into BL or BR, you will like this. It is engaging, fun to watch, and has an interesting plot. It's a mini-series. I watched some of it on TT, but I found a link somewhere else. I hope it will be on QIYI or another more accessible platform. I was able to watch some on YouTube as well. The actors were skilled, had great comedic timing, and the chemistry was also A+. The supporting characters were also an added highlight in addition to the plot and the setting, not to mention the flow was on point. I did not feel bored. It was also something I could understand. Sometimes, the mini-series is cut in a way that it can be confusing and not for this series. I do not want to give away any spoilers, but it is a must-watch for any BR or BL fans.Was this review helpful to you?
WOW
I love the title, characters, and the first two episodes are fantastic. The gaze is apparent in this series. It's both cute and interesting, and the pace is perfect. It is not BORING. I like that both characters seem to be uncovering something about themselves that they may have never felt or realized until this point. We don't have all the backstory of both characters yet, but we have enough, so it seems this will be a new journey for each of them, so to speak, and the audience, I think, will be happy.
