Because the execution was awful? Imagine if Cha Young got a fatal shot that killed her instead of hitting her…
Myung Hee's loyalty made zero sense too. She's portrayed as a self-serving, ruthless character - why would she risk everything and sacrifice herself for Jun Woo?? At what point did he do anything to earn such loyalty and dedication from her? Once his status disappeared and he was on the run, realistically she should've cut ties with him and saved herself. It's not like he had a great track record of winning against Vincenzo - hoping that he could win and get her out later is a huge risk and one that I can't see her character taking.

Any person with combat or emergency training should know that you address the immediate threat first. Common sense, if you disable the attacker then you have all the time in the world to rescue the hostage. Whereas if you leave the attacker alone, he can come back and interfere with your rescue attempt and then you're all screwed. It's the same rationale that if a plane is falling out of the sky, parents are supposed to put the oxygen masks on themselves first before their kids. If they pass out before getting it on their kids, then everyone is screwed. Whereas if they put it on themselves first, they have way more time to help others. It's simple prioritization and risk management, Vincenzo should definitely have known that with his experience.
he is not perfect? he is human like all us what do you expect him to do let his lover die you want that to happen?…
He could easily have saved both of them if he went after Jun Woo first instead of stopping to untie and rescue Cha Young. Let's recap: Han Seo attacks Jun Woo. They start wrestling over the gun. Vincenzo sees Jun Woo is now distracted and can't fire at him. What should he do?
How many times have we seen Vincenzo disarm people in this show? If it was a drinking game, we'd all be passed out right now. If he'd immediately gone after Jun Woo and disarmed him, Han Seo would be alive, Jun Woo would've been at his mercy, and Cha Young could be rescued uninjured. Instead, because he failed to prioritize, Han Seo died, Cha Young got shot and Jun Woo escaped. It was a failure of epic proportions and furthermore, completely uncharacteristic based on everything we've seen previously.

I was ready to give Vincenzo a 10 and wrap up watching it, then go watch taxi driver, but the ending made me give…
Same, this was by far THE MOST frustrating part of the show for me. If he had just gone after Jun Woo immediately instead of stopping to untie & rescue Cha Young, he could've disarmed him and everything could've ended differently. With his vaunted fighting skills, it would've been easy for him. Totally unrealistic/uncharacteristic/stupid. I was able to overlook most of the plot holes but not this one.
They could save Han Seo.. if Vincenzo just let Cha Young run away and he hit Jang Jun Woo with that hockey bat,…

First 2/3 were great, I've never felt such CUTTING humiliation and embarrassment for a character before which just says how good the acting and story were. Also the side characters were hysterical, you could really tell how much fun the actors had on set LOL. But the happy ending was drawn out way too long, I actually couldn't even finish the final episode because it was just too damn boring -__-;
Omg I have such conflicting feelings about this drama! The first 8 episodes or so seemed soooo slow to me, but…
But the end of episode 20 almost makes up for it, damn I have never seen such an unbelievably tense and well-acted scene in a kdrama before, utterly mind-blowing... props to the amazing actors.
Omg I have such conflicting feelings about this drama! The first 8 episodes or so seemed soooo slow to me, but once I pushed past those, holy guacamole it heated up! I was watching this biting my nails and with my hands covering my face, peeking out through my fingers! I was all set to give it a really high rating (despite the total lack of explanation for how Pil Joo is able to do all the unbelievable things he does...) but then the last 15 minutes of the final episode pretty much gave me whiplash with that *imo* unnecessary drama on the rooftop. If they had just cut that rooftop part out, I could've ended really satisfied. Idk why kdramas have to do such overly dramatic things right at the very end, it really brings down the whole show...
Wow, man it was reallyy slow in the middle, I almost dropped it completely but I'm so glad I didn't! The last 10 episodes had me in total awe of Yoo Ah-In's acting, he is amazeballs!
Cliched and mediocre writing balanced by great acting and soundtrack... I keep replaying the performance scene between the leads over and over again <3
