this could've been so much more, if the writers (or whomever decided on the rewrite) didn't mess with perfection. cause yes, Tin & Can's start/plot/story in the prequel was just that - a perfect enimies to lovers romcom. "they" just needed to start from the point where Tin comforts Can in the locker-room (1st ep). where Can after calming down, says "...i'm sorry... don't disappear like u did..." it fits perfectly with the end in the prequel. cause there, Can might have rejected the love confession, but he offered friendship in return - it was Tin that was acting like a spoilt brat (in his desperation), who wasn't ready to understand that Can was inexperienced & needed time to understand his own feelings, let alone get to a place where he could understand & accept Tin's.

& the fact that "they" had to pursue the Techno, Kengkla "romance" was a slap in the face of anyone who is a victim of sexual abuse. adding insult to injury with humanizing Tul's behavior, towards his own younger sibling. idk what was worse; the Techno, Kengkla development. Ae walking around moping, with a bleedin heart, taking out his anger on his friends or the b.s redemption arc forced on us (like we stupid) with Tul & Tin's father. little wonder this didn't get a higher score. sadly it didn't deserve much, when u take all the part's into account.

which is such a disservice to Can & Tin (more so Can) like i mentioned above, i wish they didn't rewrite the plot. but they also tweaked the character's a bit, Can wasn't as fierce as he was in the prequal. but on a whole i still liked them way, wayyyy better then any of the other character's.
their relationship was genuinely sweet & very healthy, loved how they approached the 1st sexual encounter. it was innocent, sweet, funny & yet very mature. in-spite of Can saying "i am stupid" (all the time), when it counts, his head works better then anyone else's in this BL. & his loyal side make me envious (little wonder Tin threw a tantrum when he was rejected in the prequel lol).

but the whole Tul's sob story & the father's justification was utter b.s. (or rather gaslighting at it's finest). anyone buying the "oh i was so loved. i didn't deserve it, so i became the bad-guy, just so my younger sibling would stop loving & looking up to me..." needs their head examined!!!
same with the fathers excuses, what freedom did Tin have when he was shunned by his family, treating him like the bad-sheep? what freedom did he have, when his brother paid people to befriend & then betray him? what freedom did he have, when he was publicly shamed as a drug addicte?!??? & it didn't stop there, even now Tul was trying to come between Tin & Can. that's love & care in who's f*cked-up mind?!?? plz with the b.s. sob story. everyone in that family is a saint & Tin just a baby that didn't understand?!???
that's the most ret*rded reasoning & justification i have yet to encounter - Tul had actively destroyed Tin's life, damaging his image in the eye's of the world, making sure family & friend's all shunned him (like he had a contagious disease) & the one hurting, in need of comfort & understanding is Tul?!?? b*tch plz -

if u only the focus was on Can & Tin (like i did) this was/is a really fun, sweet, wholesome romance that is filled with green flags. that i would wish to rewatch time & again, just for the cozy, warm feelings it gives me. but the rest is a train wreck. so any stars i give, like any recommendation's i make, will only be for the main couple. they were a pure joy to watch.
