Yes, Love in the Clouds is a historical drama, but I don’t think it can be described as a true slow-burn either. Maybe it wasn’t the best comparison in terms of genre, but I wasn’t comparing the pacing. I was comparing the feeling - the passion, the chemistry, and the emotional connection between the FL and ML. For me Speed and Love feels emotionally rushed, and that’s where it loses me.

Hate is a strong word. I prefer ‘passionately opinionated.’ It’s just me caring a little too much about C-dramas. I just want another C-drama like Love in the Clouds, where every scene, every glance, every subtle moment between the leads feels like it’s crafted to pierce your heart. The love they feel for each other isn’t rushed or shallow. It’s layered, delicate, and painfully beautiful. It’s the kind of love that makes you sigh, smile, and sometimes even tear up because it feels so real, so intense, and yet so tender. I am ruined! No drama is ever going to be this good again. Maybe I had way too high hopes for this drama.

I don’t know how that makes me a hater. I don’t have any issue with Esther Yu. One of my favorite C-dramas is Love Game in Eastern Fantasy.
