Person Hirose Alice
With everything we know about Mei today, I think these posts aged like milk.
Honestly, it's better this way. Your comments weren't wrong... in fact, everything you said about that situation is still valid. But in the end, Alice probably knew some behind-the-scenes things that most people didn't.

I wasn't expecting this from her despite having a younger sister who is friend with Mei, she still defended that…

I dont like the plot twist at episode 9 at all.
It was truly a shock, in a negative way. But I already expected the series to fall apart in its resolution. Shows that build up a lot of mystery almost never end in an intelligent or satisfying way. I just didn't expect it to be something that would ruin the entire series for me, since I was actually enjoying it up until that point.

I downloaded the episodes from this website, but the subtitles are terrible. They were probably generated using an outdated version of Whisper (audio to text AI), since many sentences haven't been translated at all. So don't even waste your time.

No, there is no romance in the show.
I get what you mean, for sure I'd rather watch a romance series that way ^_^

No, there is no romance in the show.
I think this type of series is better this way with touching stories in each episode. Adding romance would only get in the way and detract from the show's purpose. But that's just my opinion. I'm not a big fan of romance in general. For me, it only works when it's something that's in the background and never the main theme. :P

Any romance here? Even slight?
No, there is no romance in the show.

any rom ?
Well, not really... while the series makes it clear that some characters have feelings for other characters, there is no actual romance in it, and personally, I think that's a good thing for this type of series.

Title Doctor Car Spoiler
Doctor Car is a mediocre show on its own, but it becomes unbearable with the whole stupid plotline of the hospital director's son, Asagi Yusuke, trying to sabotage the Doctor Car program.

Even if you ignore this absurd Asagi Yusuke character, Doctor Car still lacks the kind of special moments you'd expect from a medical drama. The stories behind the cases they treat are super shallow, and the same can be said for the conflicts between the main characters.

At the beginning of the series, they drop hints about possible mysteries in the characters' lives that could be unraveled as the series progresses, but it doesn't take long to realize that a show with such a weak plot couldn't come up with anything good enough to show the viewers.

Title Dondo Hare Spoiler
My main concern with this series was that the protagonist would fall into the cliché of the clumsy girl, a common trope in asadoras of that era. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that she was actually a charismatic and hardworking character. The story itself, however, is problematic. It revolves around setbacks and sabotage until the very end, with few remarkable moments. I honestly thought that the protagonist's profession as a pastry chef would have some relevance to the story, giving her an advantage in her new career. However, it ultimately only served to demonstrate her determination to give up everything she had built to embark on this new journey. In the end, it didn't really matter what her initial profession was, as the story would have been the same regardless.

While I applaud the actress for her good performance, the story itself unfortunately failed to live up to it.

6.5/10 Asadora

which one?
It's possible they're referring to the movie "The Great Passage." This series takes the characters from the movie and gives the spotlight to a secondary character, Kishibe Midori, who appears later in the anime adaptation that I watched. This would make it a spinoff from the movie, showing the story from a different perspective.

Another possibility is that they're confusing this series with "Jimi ni Sugoi! Koetsu Garu Kono Etsuko." While the plots are not identical, there are some similarities. For example, both series focus on female protagonists who are passionate about fashion but they end up on something completely different.

Is this a remake of the other jdrama that sounds exectly like this??
I watched the anime adaptation of Fune wo Amu and the characters from this series are also there.

The difference is that in the main series Majime Mitsuya is the main character and Kishibe Midori is a secondary character who appears after the middle of the anime.

I believe they made this series as a spinoff showing the point of view of this secondary character.
