What is it about the end credits segment you found "powerful?" I felt like instead of calmly cooking dinner, she…
Again, respectfully disagreed. I felt like that final scene indicated the exact opposite of what you took from it: She had learned nothing at all from what had transpired, and simply went into habit-mode and would soon be repeating all those mistakes again with someone else. She was nearly hysterical just moments before, for an extended period of time, never said or did anything while he was there to indicate self-reflection, and then cooked dinner. lol
The failure to "lead" an audience is often a failure to tell a story, or just plain laziness. "I don't know what I want to say here, and I don't want to bother, so I'll just leave this "open."
The director did succeed in creating, in the FL character, one of the most loathsome female personalities I've come across in Japanese film. She's a psychopathic dishrag. The thing with refusing a DNA test and aggressively guilting him for demanding one, was bizarre. "Why can't we just 'believe' it's ours...?" Seriously? Then there was the throwing of kitchen cutlery, for which she should have gone to jail.
No, she needs a lot more than a few minutes of pouting on the couch to find "serenity" about anything.
I see a lot of ppl rating this down ... why? Because it didn't deliver that unicorn, magical, Cinderalla ending?…
I'll just respectfully disagree about the plausibility thing. :) I took the ML as someone who would fall for a dynamic, outgoing, interesting woman. FL was exactly the opposite of that, and I saw nothing that explained his supposed attraction to her.
And yes, I agree that a 7/10 on a 10 scale is decent. To me that's a C, or average. Most people on MDL have this idea that anything below an 8 is a terrible rating. It's quite strange. I don't know what they think all the numbers below 8 are for. :)
Plus, I like Fujiwara Kisetsu a lot as an actor. He saved this from an "F" rating in my opinion.
horrible. Are there NO attractive trans women or fem men in Thailand? And why do BL trans/femmes always act like bitchy drag queens, who are by definition a stereotype?
utter crap. Clearly, about two and a half years ago, there was a meeting of Thai BL industry big-wigs, and it was agreed that henceforth, only ludicrous, trashy BLs would be released from that country.
I wonder why it's so common for people who act "passive-aggressively" to accuse others of doing so...?
"well its not on any of those..thats why i was asking lmao"
Yes, it IS on ALL of those, which means you didn't even check after I replied "it's on all the pirate sites," before telling me it's NOT there, and then "laughing your ass off" at me, a person who shared pertinent information at your request. Then you have the nerve to chastise me..."u need to chill..."
Seems downright "aggressive," forget the "passive" part. You might want to check: it seems you might be an a**hole.
I attribute this kind of behavior to stunted social skills, which are a result of spending too much time on the Internet, rather than face-to-face with other humans.
Wow. I am so glad I came back and watched this a second time, if only to confirm my first impression that the…
I see nothing about the FL that the character of the ML would be attracted to, at any point in this film, which of course, undercuts the whole thing. She is a spineless, pathetic middle-school child who specializes in playing the victim, and he is an artsy, free-spirited playboy.
I found him entirely likable because he was always upfront about everything, even when being kind of a dick. Over and over, he was honest and wanted to discuss like..." grown-ups." She, on the other hand, is a psychopath. Lying is second nature to her. I had to laugh when she pretended to be traumatized and afraid of him, as though he had slapped her around or something.
Her three friends are gross and I don't find it believable that they would hang out with her in the first place.
The film spoke to the part of me that likes, at times, to be stressed out and annoyed by a live-action story. I would never recommend it to a normal person, though. Plus, there are elements that I consider plot holes.

What do you mean by "rating this down?" That people are deliberately rating it lower than they otherwise would, just to crush it, or because you don't agree with the low ratings being honestly given?
I live for "different" and non-"cookie cutter" movies, but I don't buy the central relationship here at all. There is nothing about the FL's character as portrayed, that the ML as portrayed, would be attracted to. He is an artsy, intelligent, creative person, and she is mousy, faux-coy, and nervous/giggly/annoying. I fucking hate her.
The second reason I gave it a 7/10, which is a decent average rather than a 9/10, is that I don't buy her friendship with those three soulless girls either. So for me, none of the prominent relationships are believable.
Finally, all the back-and-forth cuts were unnecessary and confusing.
That final scene and closing credits...raw, powerful ... you don't see that in film much anymore, especially so…
What is it about the end credits segment you found "powerful?" I felt like instead of calmly cooking dinner, she should be searching her phone for psych wards that would take her asap.
Wow. I am so glad I came back and watched this a second time, if only to confirm my first impression that the FL is f**king INSANE. By the end of the movie, I freaking hated her.
The rest of why this is a 7/10 to me in the spoiler comment below.
Potentially a good movie, but very sloppy with its storytelling, and boy do I have a lot of questions. We didn't even get OJ naked, which would be worth an entire star higher rating.
Surely, no-one is concerned about the actors- just the characters.
Well-said. But Corey lives in a black-and-white universe in her head, unable to make the distinctions you enumerate. Have fun going back and forth if she answers you. I'm done with it. I've argued with Neo-Prudes way too many times. It's a waste.

I know because that's where I watched it the other day.
Perhaps your browser is defective.

Fujiwara Kisetsu is great, as always.

That film sounds good. Is it available online?
So you're "queer." Who cares? I'm gay. And...?
I never said you were an American. I said America's early Puritans would be proud of you. Doesn't matter where you are while they're being proud. lol
oops, I'm wasting time on you. Bye.
