I thought it was better than the comments suggested. I hated Abby though so er, yeah. I'm that person.
lol Me too. You're not the only "that" person. Like all the other characters, hers was badly written. Seemed like the movie wanted us to think of her as a saint, and to me she was just a b****h.
Man, there were no tags pointing out that it's a LGBTQ+ movie!I feel so disgusted after finishing it!🤢🤮
How odd. When you discovered it had a gay element to the story, why didn't you just stop watching it? Must not have been THAT disgusted, eh? Those hot scenes of Dennis and Sir Jason doing the nasty almost made this pretty bad flick worth while. Almost.
Ryugi is a bit of an enigma, which is possibly interesting. Other than that, there's nothing here we haven't seen a hundred times before. ooh...got a few raindrops on me...BOOM! Severe dizziness, tight chest and fever
I don't feel much onscreen charisma from either one.
Could you expand a bit on how you found this show "controversial?" Thanks.
Yeah, the standard, lame "anger" accusation. I'm opinionated, not angry. You infer anger where there is none as a side-ass means of discrediting my views. Cuts no ice with me.
Meh...WAY too much cheesy, creepy standard horror film background music, constantly cuing me to be creeped out or scared or whatever. Problem is, that music starts way too soon and then never stops, no matter what's on screen. Seems to be some good acting going on, good general action, etc., but it just feels lame, giving away its secrets much too freely and too quickly.
I love a good horror flick. This isn't one. Bored.
For those wondering how Ryuto died, I think it was from the head injury he sustained at the beginning of the movie.…
It absolutely wrecked me the first time I saw it because, of course, I was unprepared for the horrible post-wedding cheap shot. And then what comes after that is just plain both weird AND stupid.
So, on subsequent watchings, I just stop after the first group photo is taken at the wedding and that's the end for me. As far as I'm concerned, that lame official ending never happened.
I just finished episode 1 of my first rewatch of this show, as I knew it would floor me again, and it has. And I love it. If EVER a BL has been a 10/10, this is it, and yet of course its MDL rating is what you see above, because that's what the MDL membership's taste level is about: Dreck like Bad Buddy is rated higher than this.
ITSAY has been at the top of my 30 Best BLs list ever since I first saw it. After sniffling through the first episode of my second watch, and being reminded of the unprecedented level of acting, direction, cinematography, staging, etc., I am more sure than ever it will remain at the top of my list for a very long time.
The emotional nakedness of Billkin's acting, and his total commitment to the role, makes him the brighter star of the two leads here. But PP is excellent as well.
it's 5:21 am and goddamn. BEST BL I HAVE EVER SEEN ðŸ˜
ITSAY has been at the top of my 30 Best BLs ever since I first saw it when it was new, although I guess I heard about it late, as I was able to binge it. And binge it I did, all five hours with only snack and restroom breaks allowed. It IS the best BL made so far, for countless reasons. I felt then as you do now. It got the first 10/10 rating I've ever given any show of any kind.
I started my first rewatch about two hours ago and just finished episode 1. I waited this long to watch it a second time because I knew it would wreck me all over again, and so I had to be ready for that. I was right, I'm wrecked, in a good way.
The transparency of the emotions that show on each lead's face, and that pass between them, are enough to bring me to tears. I admire Billkin especially, for his 100% commitment to the role. They are both excellent, but he carries the heavier weight, as I see it.
I enjoyed the series but he tied him up out of jealousy and tried to dictate when he can see his friends. that’s…
"toxic without consent." lol How original.
So you're one who thinks everything regarding romance and sex has to be discussed ahead of time, along with signing consent forms for each kiss, hug, grope, hump, diddle, and f**k along the way. lol That would be as boring on screen as it would be in life. There are lots of ways to "get" consent without either participant speaking a word. These are called physical, non-verbal "cues" and can be, and usually are, quite clear.
Mizuki knew perfectly well that Yoh wanted what he was giving him, and acted accordingly, much to Yoh's delight. If you want to have intimacy with other people that involves constant yakking and form-signing, go right ahead, but you won't get laid much.
Could you please specify in what ways their miscommunication and misunderstandings were different from any other…
Absolutely! This is really interesting, and you write very well, so yes, please continue if you have more to share.
I'm totally with you on #1. What I initially liked a lot about the series was the upfront master/slave situation being in our faces from the get-go, especially the sexual aspect. I found a lot of heat and humor in the cloudy/sunny days arrangement, and that Yoh pretended not to care, but was nevertheless craving clouds.
An entire plot could have been built around cloudy/sunny sex alone, but that seemed to fall almost completely aside after halfway thru episode 3. Then to me it felt as though not much was happening one way or the other, except for two people thinking a lot to themselves but never talking at all to each other.

I was just curious as to what you felt was unique about their misunderstandings and miscommunications. Discussion does not have to end with anyone "changing their minds," but it can be illuminating as to how others see what I see and yet come away with different perspectives. That's kind of what discussions are for.
The no-dialogue gimmick is a lame conceit. I'm guessing the filmmakers didn't want to have to bother with writing a script. It goes beyond no verbalizations, though: The chauffeur drives this guy all over town and never once is there music on the car stereo. Why not go all the way without traffic noise, car doors slamming, cigarette lighter clicking, nothing? Why not just have complete silence? Wouldn't that make this thing even artsier than it's trying to be already?
Some minimal dialogue where it made sense would have taken this film a lot further than it got for me.
I enjoyed this series. I thought the acting was good and the storyline was interesting. There are strong elements…
"There are strong elements of an insecure but egotistical person exhibiting coercive, controlling and abusive behavior on a awkward person with limited social kills and this is somehow being packaged as cute."
Your statement quoted above is the plot. There is no "aside from that" in this series. And since the director/producers played down the dom/sub element, there wasn't much of a story to tell. The dominant/submissive elements should have been given much greater emphasis. If so, we would have had a challenging, sexy BL. Instead we got two great-looking leads with excellent chemistry acting out...something boring.
I don't feel much onscreen charisma from either one.
Glad you're proud of your pair of prude shoes.

Dropping.

On to episode 2.

OK, I'm ready to forge ahead with episode 2.

6/10
Dropped less than halfway through.
1/10
