Title Stay with Me
Stupid beyond belief. Spinning its wheels with silly side-drama that no one cares about.
This show has deteriorated so radically from about the 13th episode forward it's hard to believe it's the same series.

Broomstick/Vampire brother pretending to be running some huge conglomerate from his laptop in his apartment: Lame
Buying multiple presents in bags and taking them all home as carry-on luggage: Lame
Broomstick ordering WB to do this and that with the presents. wtf?: Lame
Getting worked up because a friend left his earphones in Su Yu's bedroom: Lame
Wrestling weirdly on the floor about the headphones without us getting to hear any dialogue leading up to the weird wrestling: Lame
Suddenly trying to set up a straight friend as a love rival between Su Yu and WB: Lame
Trying to make an enthusiastic airport hug into some great breakthrough in Chinese Bromance history: Lame
Casting a weak-looking Broomstick as a mean/haughty/arrogant/business man: Lame
Having the only kiss we've seen thus far be between WB and his dad: Lame.

Perhaps in S3, if there is an S3 and I'm on the fence as to whether there should be one after this mess, Joon Ho and Ho Yul (see? They already share half their names!) will realize they are already in love with each other. Actually, that would be about the only reasonable excuse to do a third season.

This should have been SO much better.

This "season" (five hours is NOT a season, it's a long movie) feels as though Netflix came up with big bucks for actor salaries (great cast!), production expenses (nice look, feel, sense of reality) and then hired a few neighborhood moms who watched the first season to write the second.

Did so many of these great actors have such busy schedules and Netflix spent all its efforts on organizing that the script was written on the cheap and lazy?

Just lame upon lame upon lame writing/plotting. There's not room here to list all the improbable events, coincidences, plot holes, absurd character interrelations, etc. so I'll just repeat that the writing is awful.

Honestly, the time I didn't spend tearing up and being deeply moved (I didn't say ALL the writing was lame), I spent rolling my eyes and thinking how stupid the whole thing was.

He's not straight. He says he doesn't care about gender.
Oh, right. Which actually means "I'm gay but not ready to admit it yet." 🤪🤪🤪

"Third final point: I have to love that the entire plot hinges on Ren being so sexually epic as a 14 year-old…
Glad to brighten your day. :)

I agree about LJS. He is a case study of botox side effects! lol But I liked the movie and its plot.
Very good point.

Oh, he's totally hot! Those lips, that body... a gay man's dream.
To be honest I like a man to be a little more filled out, but Bluebem's still growing, I think. :) But yeah, something about his style of handsome is catnip to me. :) 10/10

Well, if you look at it as Bluebem getting away from his messed-up-in-the-head friend so he can go to Bangkok…
That was a very nice/hot kiss though.

I enjoyed it except I wish the ending was happier....
Well, if you look at it as Bluebem getting away from his messed-up-in-the-head friend so he can go to Bangkok and find someone worthy of him, it's not exactly sad either. And at least he didn't throw himself into that swimming hole, which is what I thought was coming.

The ONLY good thing about this short is the stunningly ethereal, and distinctively Thai, beauty of
Bluebem Anapat Kam. His is one of the most beautiful male faces I have ever seen. The lips. The nostrils. The tiny mole on his upper lip. The other one on his lower cheek. He is breathtaking. The director knows what he's doing in focusing in on his forearms a few times too. The sharply defined veins runing just below the skin are reminiscent of a Roman sculpture. Wow.

Not a bad actor either, but it's hard to tell because there's not much going on here except for a plot we've seen 148 times before in other gay shorts. The director should also consider that when you have a male lead THAT gorgeous you cannot cast a plain actress with a bad bleach job to be in the same production. Poor thing.

7/10
All 7 points are for Bluebem's handsomeness.

Good Heavens, this is terrible.

Bad acting, bad direction, bad writing, There's an amateurish feel that keeps getting stronger the longer I watch. Which I why I'm dropping about halfway.

The only good thing here is Matsuzaka Tori, but he's good in most everything and he's not onscreen enough to counter-balance all the lame stuff.

Oh, there were a couple of stylish special effects and one plot turn that was cool. Otherwise...nah.

4/10
Four stars for Tori, 0 for everyone and everything else.

What show are you watching?
Oh. Just checking to be sure because to me the acting, cinematography, soundtrack, direction and writing is terribly amateurish. There was one good scene, when Kazuma convinced Ren to make love with the curtains open. That was it.

Every episode since then has gotten worse, so I wanted to be certain we were even talking about the same show.

Enjoy.

Omg was it actually green scene I didn’t even notice😭😭
Yup, there's a 20-second shot or so of Kazuma in closeup "running." His arms and hands are moving very oddly, and you can tell the trees and hedge in the background aren't really there where his is. They're a little blurry too. Pretty humorous.

Terrible. It has a good heart but that's all. Plot's all over the place.
Someone needs to tell Wen and the writers of this movie that GAY does not equal TRANS. lol
But I guess he chose Buddhism before he had his wanger cut off.
Nice that the other three embraced the fem gay guy as he is.

Way too many young Korean actors of both sexes are having half their noses sliced off, apparently by the exact same surgeon. Thus, they are all beginning to look alike. I'm looking at the FL and the killer. Same nose.

There is the kernel of a great story here but too many plot holes and improbables prevented me from buying in and going along for the ride.

For starters: NO medical equipment in the "execution" room? 🙄🙄🙄

Quite a few plot holes and silliness.

Title Brain Man
Dropping about 2/3 of the way in. Started slow, got interesting, then got stupid.
Plus, I'm sick of the FL doctor speaking in that meek, tiny whispery voice like a somnambulant Geisha or something. She's a freaking, accomplished doctor, for god's sake, not some frightened, mousy housewife.

Other final straw is the annoying, bratty Lesbian chicks who come off as middle schoolers on a Halloween prank, not psychopathic, bloodthirsty killers.

The big confrontation on the highway was full of lame choreography. There were at least four clear opportunities to kill the Head Lezzo but of course no one too the shot.

Ikuta Toma as the "Brain Man" is about the only good thing in this movie but he can't carry it all on his own. He's so skinny but so ripped. Amazing.

Pretty bad.

EXCELLENT, old fashioned-lust/romance/adultery flick. Great acting and great shots of the ML's stunning body. For once, in a straight romantic drama, the male body gets the bulk of the camera's attention. He's gorgeous.

FL is stunning as well, and a great actress. All-round good stuff. Highly recommended.

I stumbled on this one and loved it! The actors had great chemistry. The plot was a bit predictable but then again…
I liked this a lot too, Geegee. Don't remember how I found it. A good, old-fashioned adultery/passion/lust movie. Felt like a Golden Age-Hollywood type tragic romance from the 40s or 50s.

The idea that Ren, who is taller/bigger than the drunk office guy, could be slapped around like a useless dishrag…
How do you know a comment you didn't read is "ignorant?" lol
Oh dear, did you not look at the photos I provided for your edification?
I didn't say anything about rape. Why? Do you think about men raping men a lot?
I said a tiny man can't overcome a younger, stronger, bigger man, especially with one blow, after which the bigger man rolls around on the floor like a noodle. Poor Aloha can't even act weak convincingly.
Now, if you want to talk about "rape," I suppose a strong man could be raped by an even stronger man, or a group of smaller men together could overwhelm him.
But again...why this talk of rape? Did someone get raped in this last episode and I missed it? Seems like I would have noticed that.
