While I do agree that there seems to be a lot of air time for Masu/Joe character, we see him plotting the same things/being smarmy and oily again and again. I think that while Great/Tor did not have so much air time, or shared the air time, his portrayal showed nuances and aspects that I did not see in Kao Waan Hai Nu Pen Saai Lub (My Secret Bride). He did portray the patriarchal head of household, at times so stern and runs a tight ship to being unfairly angry with Dr Dee at the start to broken brother. He was at times awkwardly shy and uncertain with Dr Dee and the times when he blurts out his feelings/ confess due to atmosphere border on nerdy and you can almost sense his embarrassment/ surprise that he said it. But he owns up to it and stands by his confessions. His sweetness is kinda palpable from ep 3 onwards, as he waits (rather eagerly, kinda chomping at the bit) for Dr Dee to recover from heartbreak while doing all he can so that she has the space to recover. But still cannot understand why the women would like Joe. I dont particularly like the face of the actor (sorry, just personal opinion, he seems a bit cruel looking, lips too thin) so maybe that affected the credibility. ( I can see why women liked Weir though in Charming Deception. ) The women here are really pretty. Toom, Gift, Dr Dee and Ning Narissa - wow, i really liked her sassiness! And her smiles are flirtatious and yet so open and friendly. I can see her acting a mean role but this role was a nice flirt which is a real change from cookie cutter portrayals of women. I would watch again for Ning Narissa just to see a portrayal of women who are flirtatious/seductive and own it without having to step over other females.
Where can I watch this with english subs? any recommendations?

(the playlist that Amal linked to doesn't sync as well and it can be troublesome to sync timing...) On that youtube playlist, it has Chinese hardsubs, but if you just add some chrome extension subtitles for youtube (found on google chrome etensions), you can sync it to that playlist. The subs are pretty accurate. I happen to be able to read some Chinese and they match well. It is troublesome, but I would say this is quite worth it. Great character is really sweet and a really caring lover. The way he cares for Matt's character and helping all the family. Although Great's character is adopted, his adopted family, many/most of them root for him and love him. None of that evil stepbrother/jealous brother syndrome.
