There are some characters with special abilities due to being experimented on as kids, but it's not the main focus. It just spices things up really well.

If you're into the crime/thriller/mystery genre then you'll love this. It also has tiny hints at romance and great chemistry between the leads.

Now that you mentioned Seolhyun's many votes are a bit suspicious. My guess would be AOA fans. She was in that girlgroup. The rest doesn't seem suspicious to me at all. Talented actors and a pretty good thriller drama if you ask me. (Not that Seolhyun isn't talented. She is, she's just not that popular yet.)

I checked on this list a couple of times today because it was gaining votes suspiciously fast. Some actors and actresses (Choi Soo Young, Kim Se Jeong, Lee Chung Ah, Kim Seol Hyun, Namkoong Min and probably some others too) gained like 70 votes in about 30 minutes. They went up so fast it hurt my eyes. Someone is clearly butthurt and has too much free time.
Like holy crap, how can you hate an actor so much that you create so many accounts to vote against them?
To whoever did that: Get a life. (Or therapy. You need help.)

Just dropped it for the same exact reason. I could stare at a wall and it would give me just as much emotion and entertainment as those two did. Plus the 4th wall breaking? Weirdest thing I've seen in kdramas.

This is clearly not my proudest comment, but I literally only started watching Awaken because I was girlcrushing on the female leads...😆
It was def worth it. What a rare piece of gem... This is probably one of the best k-thrillers out there. I really want a second season! 😭😭😭
