It's relevant because Korea's laws are universal for a Korean citizen. So if you smoke weed in the U.S. as a Korean…
Nope, foreigners can enter the country with drugs in their system as long as it is legal in their country. They will only be investigated and charged if authorities believe they have used it on Korean soil.

Why are you comparing deepfakes with sex rings and drug abuse? You do realize America is the leading organizer…
I'm not saying you are in the wrong, but that you shouldn't be surprised that this event is printed in the front page when you are also on the same platform by speaking about it.
It seems you are upset with the legal system of Korea and also the publicity of this case. I think they are separate matters. When you mention nothing will change, I agree with you and I will take it a step further and say that commenting about it even on the largest social network platform and gaining the widest coverage won't change anything regarding its publicity so long as people don't ever learn to stop. Alternatively, I think you would have a better case against Korea if you focus your anger on its lenient judgment against sexual assault cases. The reason why I mentioned the deepfake is because I think it muddies the severity of Korea's tameness against sexual violence. As you said "there are [more] urgent matters to be addressed."

Why would you assume subscription based news organisations like NYT would operate any differently? Korea news organizations would be doubly incentivised because as they have a smaller population pool to reach. The point about MDL is that if YAI's news is garnering this much attention on MDL, then how much more would it garner in Korea?
My overarching point is that capitalism gives people the most amount of freedom in history because people can directly purchase goods and vote with their dollars, but under a capitalist system you see howman gets fooled, choose to enslave himself, and enrich the rich because the rich knows man's nature better than himself. Generally speaking, the nature of man is selfish, uncaring, and arrogant. And the problems of capitalism is a reflection of man's nature.

"He also faces charges of smoking marijuana in the United States and instructing others to do so. " excuse me…
It's relevant because Korea's laws are universal for a Korean citizen. So if you smoke weed in the U.S. as a Korean citizen, you still broke the law. This was part of the list of charges the prosecution arraigned him for.

Okay, I apologize if I misinterpreted you. You are okay with the sentencing he received but you just don't like the fact that his articles are being plastered in the front page and other cases are not thoroughly reported or investigated? If this is the reason why you are upset, you are not helping the cause by writing here. Yellow journalism is effective because it generates more interest, more clicks, and more pay. Most mainstream media are in it for profit. If you want good journalism, people need to pay closer attention to the "invisible crimes," and ignore sensational news, but people are more interested in what celebrity Yoo Ah In is doing instead. So it is bizarre you are contributing to the problem while also condemning it. Look at MDL, this is trending. How do you think it is in Korea? And how can you overcome the profit model of business; just screaming at it for likes isn't going to fix the problem.

Literally Google it? I can't send links. Only like 23/50 states have passed laws against deepfake porn, and a good chunk of them are against minor depicted sex, so it's not even full protection.

But the names of the men (celebrities, politicians...) who were in the NTH Room were not released or even brought…
Why are you comparing deepfakes with sex rings and drug abuse? You do realize America is the leading organizer of deep fakes and it's not even illegal there? Do you want Korea to be stricter or as lenient America? People are condemning Korea for being too strict, but here, you are implying Korea is not strict enough, but also should be lenient.

If you're not being sarcastic, then I wish you the best.
I don't think there is an issue with "hating the haters" as long as you confront them about your disagreements. Probably recognizing people have different views and tastes is the best way to go about things if you wish to be nonconfrontational.

I don't know, that's just weird?
You do address your problem, "freedom of speech." You want to get the last word in, you want everyone to agree with you, and you want people with opposing views as you to just shut up. That's not healthy or positive even if the content of your message may be, at the moment, positive. If you disagree, you should directly disagree. If you disagree, but you don't want to confront the disagreement, then you should change subjects and write what you thought was positive. But what you're doing is, in my opinion, cowardly. You disagree, but you don't want to directly confront your disagreement, but you also don't want to just stay silent, so you indirectly confront the problem, and I don't know what your aim is? Do you want others to confront the problem for you? Do you want to bully others by having their opinions changed based on these faulty and arbitrary like system without any back and forth discussions? I'm sorry, but if you really want to change minds, you should confront them directly.

I don't think "hating the hater" is positive, moreso if people are giving their honest opinions about the drama and aren't disrespecting any other users.

No, comments like yours is restrictive and tyrannical. I come to discussion sites for critical discussions too, not just flowery compliments. If you want to address the criticism, reply under them, or just praise the show in another comment without referencing the criticism. That is proper forum manners. What you are describing and doing isn't good manners. Even here you are referring to another criticism indirectly on a separate thread. That is not only bad forum manners, but cowardly behavior.

It is possible but I was only pointing out the irony of your common sense comment. Common sense is that OP is directing the comment below, not about comments that dislike your dramas regardless of whether they also meant it like that.

Why do you reply to me, block me, then edit your response and unblock? What's up with that???

She's really a christian? That would be sad for for me.
I'm not being far fetched. I am basing my judgment based on what you're typing. You are still making prejudicial comments while claiming you're not, it's ridiculous. It would be as if I said, "oh I hate the Germans and I think they are evil people, but also I'm looking at the bigger picture. Remember they were Nazis at one point? But I also hate discrimination and prejudice." Jesus Christ dude, do you not see how unreasonable you're being?
Please go on Google and look at the various denomination of Christianity and how many sects there. There are so many. The fact that you're trying to lump these variety of people into homophobes and science deniers tells me you're very ignorant. Do you not realize the founder of the Big Bang theory was a Catholic priest? For the sake of argument lets assume your nonsensical claim was right, this is still 1 religion amongst various other religions all with different claims, views, and philosophies. Please educate yourself.
Also, please actually study and read the people you are referring to. You're assuming atheists never existed and everyone was Christian and the reason was because they were scientifically illiterate or something. No, atheists have existed since Ancient Greece, but the reason why most intellectuals were theists is because rationalism was the predominant school of thought. Over the years empiricism gained traction and is the predominant view today. That doesn't mean the tension between empiricism and rationalism doesn't exist anymore nor does it mean the empiricist solved all the problems. Please stop watching those stupid Atheist vs Christian debates on YouTube and think you have everything figured out. There are still religious intellectuals to this day who are thinking the problems through and have considered everything that you have but a lot more thoroughly.
No one cares if you're an atheist. There is backlash because you're a bigot. I am literally an agnostic. If I said atheists are sex addict idiots, I would also be a bigot.

Ah, yes, all the philosophers, scientists, and free thinkers who were religious and came before you were manipulated tools, but you figured life out and are smarter than them all.
Your comment is simple hate, I'm sorry to say. Just because you had a negative experience doesn't make your experience the universal truth. That would be like saying someone having a negative experience with race or sexuality gives them the justifications to be racist and homophobic. Everyone knows that's not true. They are simply a bigot with a bad experience, just like you.

You speak of common sense, yet you think "mdl commenters are the ones who really need jesus" is referring to people who are critical of the dramas you enjoy??? This is when right below OP's comment, there is another commentor who is an ex-Christian making bigoted statements about the religious as if their experience justifies the totality of all religious people... You're right that common sense may be a problem of this site, but you're clearly not an exception to the problem! 😊
