I'M NOT READY TO SAY GOODBYE i can't believe it's really ending today. it's my first time really keeping up w a good drama... all good things must come to an end
also something im REALLY curious about. what's the big deal of tian being the son of the ex- secretary of the…
I think the connections could be that he was their ex-superior, hence Tian has a lot of power and money. then there's also the connection he saw with torfun and tian with the heart transplant which makes him think that tian was involved in all this power play. he might feel that he needs to tell phupha since pha had decided to find whoever was responsible ( but then idk why Doc eggs on Phupha and Tian's relationship even now if he is so averse). or that Tian's dad had known connections with Mr. Sakda....
This episode was... certainly something. I like how they juxtaposed the classical romance tropes and the plot steadily progressing with Tian's truth. It was quite cute, the scenes we got with Phupha and Tian, they are getting progressively more comfortable with each other in a natural slow-burn progression and thankfully, neither of them are oblivious. The hammock scene was so wonderful, once again showcasing just how well EarthMixx can act and the onscreen chemistry they have with each other. The emotion in Mixx's eyes is forever imprinted in my brain, he's brilliant! P'Aof especially taking care that the romance and the main plot don't overshadow each other but either blend or proceed parallel to one another. Although, there were some concerns regarding how fast Doc acquired the detailed medical history of someone who is not his patient, and possibly snitching on him-- I don't know how ethical that is. And the preview for next week... oof. thank god, I'll be busy then, I don't think I could handle the climax easily. We're reaching such a pivotal point in the plot, I'm anxious to see how this goes ahead! Can't believe there are only three more episodes left! no more Friday serotonin boost after that :(
I mean, it's a pretty standard story so we can pretty much guess how it's going to play out (and the foreshadowing…
I agree! There are some obvious conclusions we can draw from the current progression, about Torfun's side of the story, especially. But it's so well made in other aspects I let the common tropes and minor mistakes slide. Completely second your opinion!
Ahh because they're often unavailable outside of certain areas , Or we have to rely on translated episodes kindly…
That's quite unfortunate that GMMTV has made their shows unavailable in certain places! I didn't know that, thank you for informing me. I am glad you're supporting the fan translated videos. But I have seen several people talk of going to other sites despite it being available where they are for some reason. Just wanted to make sure they showed support if it's available. cheers, anyways! glad you're viewing the show. you can show support to the crew and cast in other ways :)
A PSA!!! ✨✨✨✨✨ do NOT watch this or download it from illegal sites!!!! Please PLEASE stream from GMMTV's OFFICIAL YOUTUBE channel COMPLETELY FREE without any viruses or fake ads or "hot singles in your area". The subtitles are available and there is extra content that is not aired on TV on the channel as well. The more you stream on the channel the better it is for the people that made the show. And we all know how much time it has taken to perfect this show. Just keep it in mind. Idk why people resort to illegal websites instead of the COMPLETELY FREE Youtube channel???
After almost TWO WHOLE YEARS of waiting... which felt like 1000 years instead... it's here and i am so happy. I am really really enjoying the story so far it's so multi layered and focuses on social aspects too! while showing off the beautiful countryside and culture of Thailand. and the OST!!!! so beautiful and calming!!! and the chemistry!!! EarthMixx gel well together and their dialogue exchange seems so natural. It came in handy that they already knew each other well before shooting this show. I'm also glad they didn't show Tian as an entirely spoiled and entitled brat. Instead, they made his character complex, and thank god - rational. I would love to see where this goes and I am so glad to see Khaotung's adorable face again. Ton/Chon was a wreck (although his acting was wonderful) and he deserves better. Drake's character is so sweet, he's charming as always. The kids are adorable too! They're not as unreasonable as the youtube comments keep saying, they just haven't been taught in an urban restricted classroom that has enforced the rules we are so accustomed to, they're actually incredibly docile, respectful and eager compared to some kids i have seen in the city tbh. Anyways, so glad to watch this show, it's horrible we have to keep waiting a WHOLE week for a new ep. But moderation is key, i guess!
I genuinely agree with most of the comments here and believe that Phupha was not in love w Torfun (who was absolutely lovely, god rest her fictional pure soul)because
1. the memories Phupha has with Torfun seemed very platonic, him gently touching her head when she insisted he play the flute ( i am sorry I forgot the actual terminology, it's not a classical flute) for her felt like he was just bickering with a friend or a younger sibling. Even the memory at the Pha Pun Dao cliff, he seemed to look at her directly with admiration and care. 2. He wasn't as sad as you would expect him to be at her funeral, it felt like he had lost a dear and beloved companion and friend rather than someone he was in love with and last but not least 3. I read that Cheif Phupha was written as gay in the book and not interested in Torfun in any romantic way, shape or form but he did care about her deeply.
Surprisingly enough, this episode made more sense than the last one and that's saying something. As usual, Chon's mom delivers and so do Pang and Miriam. I genuinely hate what they made Gunsmile's character do, but at least it's shown to be wrong in itself unlike SEVERAL other BLs where lack of consent was romanticized, so a plus point for that. Chon's mother pointing out the importance of consent, too, hopefully, drove in the point. Khaotung crying that much was somehow reminiscent of Third from ToL but at least the opposite lead is turning a new leaf sooner than Khai. Let's hope that change is effective because some of the chemistry between Podd and Khao has melted away. I am glad for what happened with Ai and Ni, but why were their kisses censored??? I think I finally sort of understand Ton's repression? I mean, look at the SOTUS scene, that kind of explained it a bit more. I'm curious as to exactly what's up with his sister and brother-in-law though. But they did cover a lot more ground in this ep at least. Also if anyone else saw my comment last time- my predictions came true! so that's kinda cool
I love Miriam, at first when you see her character working in a bar, u judge but then once u get to know her and…
I'm glad your viewpoint changed! Miriam really is such a wonderful character, I think i might even have small crush on her ! XD. But I think we all can learn a bit from Chonlatee and understand that working in a bar or as a sex worker... it's still real work, there's still a person trying to do their work and earn their keep in the end. Our first reaction should always be kindness, no?
I hope you’re right though, because at this rate Ton’s character development won’t be rushed and last minute,…
yeah I think after the small hometown/beach visit episodes p'amp is gonna do something shitty. then the last part of the drama will be fighting against ton's dad's homophobia and other medieval conservative ideals.
I hope you’re right though, because at this rate Ton’s character development won’t be rushed and last minute,…
I really don't think they might rush it all at the end because i think after the small (often compulsory XD, a BL staple) beach/hometown vacation we see tonhon and chon take with their friends in the trailer tonhon and chon get together until tonhon's family finds out. then the last parts might be fighting against ton's dad's mindset. hopefully like this since that's what I think I can predict from the current situation + trailer.
The way I think the next episodes (6 &7) might play out is 1. Gunsmile's character tries to force himself on drunk Chon 2. Na and Pang are busy partying/fending off other seniors 3. Ton comes and "saves the day" 4. Takes care of drunk and hungover Chon 5. drunk Chon tries to kiss or actually kisses Ton 6. Ton gets all defensive 7. They fight, Chon gets heartbroken 8. Chon goes back to his mom with Pang, while here, Ton is discovering his feelings for him 9. And FINALLY a few angsty parts later that's when Ai and Ni might hatch the plan for making Na "pretend" to court Chon.
I know it really seems like I am way into this and it's most likely I am but I'm jsut putting my thoughts down based on what I've seen
My 2 cents: This episode was much MUCH better than the last episode. I'm very glad to see that they finally showed Chon having a proper support system, especially with more content of his loving mother! I really, really like her, she has some wise words to say in this show. I think the way the parents are interacting, that kind of level of seriousness might be shown in the later episodes, once again entirely basing off of the main trailer. Speaking of this episode, in particular, I thoroughly enjoy part 2/4 and 3/4. For the first time, some sensibility fromTonhon! I really cannot wait for his character arc. Enjoyed the interactions between Chon, Amp, and Miriam. Genuinely Na is turning out to be such a sweet character he's both a great friend and potential bf for Chon. that's why I think, as shown in the trailer, he will be persuaded to pretend to pursue Chon even more in later episodes to make Ton jealous. While yes it's quite problematic that Ai and Ni had t hide their relationship in such a manner but I also do enjoy their more private interactions with each other and Miriam. I really love Miriam, can you tell? The women in this show are practically carrying the whole thing on their shoulders in a way at this point. May it be Chon's mom giving a more sensible, loving, and realistic tone or Pang, giving the support and lighthearted fiesty relief, or even Miriam, swooping in to help others and herself or even P'Amp adding in her drama (she is really doing a good job). And since I have seen so many people ask how the somber theme may fit in with the show, once again, the trailer for the show, the MV for the theme song, and the teaser for the next episode really give a good idea of how this might work out. It's all a bit predictable, but I am still going to watch it. Although I KNOW Gunsmile's character is gonna disappoint the hell out of me, most likely forcing himself on Chon...AGAIN. Leave the poor kid alone. Anyways, until next Friday/Saturday. See you guys.
