Others have mentioned it already but yeah Japanese society is not really LGBT+ friendly as of 2020. It may appear…
Yeah it's not like they should legalize gay marriage just so that we can get more BL lol, but the mainstream appeal of these dramas is a good sign.
There are already many cities in Japan that recognize civil unions for same-sex couples. It might be slow at first, but I don't agree with people who say that Japanese society will never change with regards to LGBT acceptance. The democratic world is moving towards complete enfranchisement for same-sex couples, if anything Japan will do it just so they don't seem behind the curve.
While watching this I can't help but keep thinking that Japan needs to hurry up and legalize gay marriage already. Apparently most people are for it and they have a culture of not interfering in other people's business and respecting their privacy.
I laughed, I cried, I got nostalgic when they started playing Revival, I squealed over all the long-awaited MakiHaru scenes. Bravo to the creators for transcending BL stereotypes. Everyone deserved their happy ending.
Rewatching this and not a single character is likable except for Tal Tal. However, the setting is unique among Korean dramas and it's interesting to watch Nyang evolve from a simple young girl to a ruthless Empress.
Hoxx vpn works with abema and it's free.Choose the addon-not the app-japan,residential and check which is working…
ok rip so when i went to watch it again it wouldn't let me. This might not all be accurate, it's from my memory.
From what I can remember, Naruse and Shinos relationship hasn't really progressed. Naruse asks Hina how he can be more attractive to Shino and decides to act more like Haruta. This doesn't work because he ends up acting like a clown and Shino doesn't understand his strange behavior. Meanwhile, Michi and Hina went on a date but Michi tells the CAs that it was a total failure and asks where it went wrong. Haruka-san tells him he messed up from the start.
The gang gets together for a holiday dinner and Hina keeps pushing for Naruse to express himself, but Michi gets the wrong idea and thinks the two are together. A fight happens (?? - don't really remember this part).
Shino runs into the Captain and tells him about his confusions about his and Naruse's relationship, to which the captain tells him to just go for it. The captain is upset because Haruta went back to his hometown even when the first holidays is an important time for new couples.
Naruse comes across Haruta and Haruta encourages Naruse too. Hina and Mitchi reconsole too. Later, Hina and Mitchi give Shino two tickets to an event (maybe it was the tomb illumination??). Shino invites Naruse to the event.
Can you reconfession between whom? I've not watched yet.. Also is the harunaruse ship finally sailing??
The captain asks Haruta if he can "approach" him again, lol. I don't know, at this point it seems like Naruse is still very hung up on Shino-san, who knows if he'll come around in only one episode.
For a second there I really thought Haruta liked the Captain of all people, Their re-confession scene was really very cute. Where the first dorama focused more on Maki and Haru's relationship ITS is fleshing out all of the lead roles. Nice.
This drama showcases the best aspects of what makes J-drama J-drama - the mundanity combined with the absurdity, suspended logic along with real human problems. My only complaint is that it's too short!
