on ep 30, the most phenomenal one. On wedding day, When 2nd ml is about to fully power shoting ml, the fl who…
yeah I actually agree with u too. Drama cut too many scenes, and that’s probably why some parts felt so confusing🤔 Also, thanks for mentioning big bro! I just realized i have no idea when or how he became a demon. was that ever explained, or did I miss it?

Why do many people see Lei Xiuyuan as the “good one” while calling Lifei useless?
Because of their love for the actor, many people fail to understand the story. Some people hate the female lead without even finishing the drama.
Now let’s look at the facts.

First, about the ml:
Ep 1: Xiuyuan literally tried to kill an innocent girl. A girl who had nothing to do with him and was simply looking for her master. He tried to kill her multiple times. The only reason he failed was because she noticed it herself or someone else found out.
He tried to kill a person without checking any facts, just because someone else told him something. Is that normal?

Ep2:He also threatened other people, including his former friend, with a knife. Even though that friend was actually trying to help ml.

These moments show that Xiuyuan often acts based on emotions and assumptions rather than understanding the whole situation.

Now about Lifei (fl):
Lifei is the reincarnation of the Divine Tree (Jianmu). Her current life is her 13th incarnation. Before this, she had already sacrificed herself 12 times!

For twelve lifetimes, the same tragedy repeated, every 500 years, during the Sea Calamity, the Divine Tree became the sacrifice needed to protect the world.
Her entire existence was built around losing herself for others. And people still call her worthless💀

Lifei grew up alone in the mountains.
Her master taught her to be brave and live a peaceful life. He literally taught her this so she would not end up like the previous Jiangmu, who simply sacrificed herself and died. His goal was to help her rewrite her destiny. Lifei’s master raised her from childhood for this reason. He wanted her to value herself, respect herself, not trust everyone easily, and live a peaceful and happy life.
And Lifei never forgot what her master taught her until the end of the drama.
Because of those lessons, the main couple survived and got a happy ending.

Both Xiuyuan and Lifei’s master are the reason behind this. The person who raised them only wanted them to live like normal people and have a good life.

Even if fate could not be changed, he still managed to change both of their destinies.

The first episodes:
Lifei’s power was not awakened yet.
Her master hid the fact that she was the Divine Tree, so he only taught her to protect herself with talismans.

When she entered the academy, it was not the academy teachers who taught her the most. It was RIYAN. Unfortunately, this scene was cut. Didn’t you wonder how Lifei learned so quickly by episode 6?
It was not because of someone else. Riyan was the one who taught her everything.

Ep8:
The episode everyone forgets.
Xiuyuan gets seriously injured and is close to death. And the same “useless Lifei” you talk about is the person who saves him.
She searches day and night for a way to save him. Even though her power is weak, she does everything she can and finally saves him with her Divine Tree power.

If she had not saved him at that moment, your “perfect hero” would have died. Think about that.

After this, they become friends and Lifei starts trusting him. But when she finally begins opening up to him, Xiuyuan betrays her and follows someone else’s words.
Lifei literally saved someone who was between life and death. He could have asked her to help save his brother.
But no. Xiuyuan decides everything himself.

In ep9, Lifei tells him: “I will help you save your brother.” They came to that residence exactly to save his brother.

But instead of telling her anything, Xiuyuan secretly tries to kill Lifei’s “master” Riyan and hand him over to the enemy.
We know how much Lifei loves her masters.
She is afraid of losing them or something happening to them.
All three of her masters are like fathers to her. And one of them is Riyan.

Xiuyuan could have talked to her. He could have discussed it. But no, he immediately tries to kill her master and attacks Lifei herself. Then his brother dies in front of him.
Because of one decision, Xiuyuan loses Lifei, Tongzhou, and his brother. Because he acted foolishly.
After that, he spends the rest of the drama feeling guilty.

And in that same situation, Lifei is the one who saves Riyan. Riyan is the person who later saves the main couple during the final battle and stays with them until the end.
If Riyan had died earlier, both Xiuyuan and Lifei would have died in the end.
And people still say Lifei is “not worthy” of Xiuyuan? Isn’t it actually the opposite?

Lifei does not forgive him immediately. Because he tried to kill her master Riyan.
Honestly, people should be thankful that Lifei did not try to take revenge. After that, their relationship becomes distant.

Another thing that hurts Lifei is that Xiuyuan ignored her offer to help and chose to do everything alone again.

Ep18:Lifei finally forgives him. And in the same episode, she helps him again.
Xiuyuan turns into Yesha in front of the entire academy.
If Lifei had not calmed him down, the academy members would have killed him immediately. Xiuyuan is honestly one of the weakest Demon lords I have seen.
In other dramas, Demon Lords are usually the strongest characters, but here he loses too quickly🙂

Ep25: Lifei finally discovers who she really is.

Ep26: Xiuyuan comes to save Lifei.
But once again, he cannot stop himself from causing another problem. He kills his own academy master because he loses control of his demon power.

Ep27: Lifei awakens her Divine Tree power and attacks Xiuyuan. What happens in the illusion will definitely happen. Whether you want it or not. Lifei says it is better for him to die by her hands than for him to kill her🥸

And this makes sense because, as I said before, her master taught her to value her own life.
Meanwhile, Xiuyuan cannot control his power. He is a demon. And everyone knows demons are not accepted. So this situation can also be understood.

Why does Lifei trust Tongzhou?
Even though Tongzhou also wanted to take her power. First, Lifei was never angry just because someone used her power.
She even gave her power to Xiuyuan several times. Tongzhou never directly harmed Lifei and always discussed things with her. He also never tried to kill her masters. That is why Lifei trusted Tongzhou.

About the wedding:
By this period, Lifei becomes completely different. She is no longer the girl from the beginning. She looks like someone who has lost the meaning of life. That is why she agrees to the marriage. She comes to the wedding mainly to find out what Tongzhou is planning. And it turns out his plan is to capture Xiuyuan.

In ep30, Lifei says she will take revenge on the white-haired old man🤣
She opens a portal. This is Lifei’s power.
But everyone ignores this. During the battle, she and Xiuyuan fight against the old man together. But the person who gives the final attack and kills him is LIFEI.

After that, Tongzhou completely loses control. He locks Lifei away and takes her power🗿

Ep32: The Sea Calamity happens. The ML’s power is not enough. Even with the academy members helping, they cannot stop it. When everyone loses hope and prepares to say goodbye, the same “useless Lifei” appears and gives everyone hope again. She faces it alone with her own power. Then Xiuyuan and Riyan join her, and they reach a happy ending.

Calling Lifei useless or worthless is wrong.
I did not even include every detail. But if people stop being biased and actually look at the story, they will understand.

The biggest problems of this drama are that the Demon Lord’s power was not shown as strong enough and the director’s filming style is strange. Because of the directing, some scenes look like bad acting.
But with a better director, this could have been a really great work.

And just to clarify. I am only talking about the characters, not the actors.
I actually like the main couple as actors.

I rate this drama 8/10. It was pretty good for me. I just think many people are too biased and don’t fully understand the characters.
I watched it while it was airing, so I don’t remember every detail. But I supported both Xiuyuan and Lifei and understood both sides. Xiuyuan was depressed, and Lifei also became depressed later in the story.

The final episodes really improved the drama, and I loved the ending. The only weak part for me was the middle episodes.

stellar release this before the melody of love please?????🥺👉🏻👈🏻
stellar will probably release Melody of Love first because it was filmed first, and it’s been over a year since filming wrapped. Also post-production is already complete, so it’s ready to air. Meanwhile, FMAD still hasn’t finished post-production

Title Qi Xing Cai
Honestly after so many rumours declaring ju jingyi as the lead if they don't give the script to her I'm sure many…
Sadly she can’t sue them because it was all rumors, never an official announcement. Whether people believed those rumors was entirely their own choice, which makes legal action almost impossible.

Title Veil of Shadows Spoiler
Before I watched this drama I saw so many comments on tiktok under edits of VoS that it was a sad ending, or that…
I also believed it was a happy ending. I’m just sharing fan theory and why some people consider it a sad ending. It’s not my personal theory😅

Title Veil of Shadows Spoiler
Before I watched this drama I saw so many comments on tiktok under edits of VoS that it was a sad ending, or that…
There’s an interesting fan theory about JiLu.

If you’ve watched GJM’s dramas before, you probably know that almost every line of dialogue is actually a spoiler. Later on, the exact same words and scenes are repeated, but with a completely different meaning. Every conversation contains an important detail. When you rewatch his dramas, you always notice things you completely missed the first time. Basically, none of the dialogue is meaningless.

According to this theory, Ji Ling and Lu Wuyi never actually escaped the illusion. At one point, Ji Ling tells Lu Wuyi, “I’ll be waiting for you in the afterlife with a huge bouquet of flowers.” Later, when Lu Wuyi is dying , she says something very similar: “I’m coming to you. Welcome me with flowers.” Fans believe these lines weren’t random at all.

In the final scene, Ji Ling and Lu Wuyi meet on a bridge. In Chinese mythology, a bridge often symbolizes the path to the afterlife. If you’ve seen My journey to you (also written by GJM), there’s a scene where the male lead remembers his family, and his deceased relatives are standing on a bridge looking at him. It could just be a coincidence, but it’s an interesting parallel. Another thing is that we know almost nothing about Ji Ling and Lu Wuyi’s lives before they met. If they had truly escaped the illusion together, shouldn’t they have stayed together? Instead, they meet as adults, almost as if they have no shared past at all. There’s also the moment when Ji Ling tells the little child, “There are no demons in this world.” But can a real world even exist without evil?

Of course, this is just a fan theory. Don’t take it too seriously. 🤗
