Almost finish watching Ultimate Note. Why is Xin Yue Restaurant arc is so similar to Lost Tomb 1 Xin Yue restaurant arc? Did drama writer change the story on either one?

Title The Song of Glory Spoiler
ow...time to not watch i guess...
It's still a pretty good show. It's natural. Just that they didn't mention at all his first wife as if she already died at the ending. Lol

Actually not. If you follow the events in the books and not the age of the actors (this also made me confused…
Thanks for confirming! So confusing. Especially tomb of the sea Wuxia seems more resourceful with many henchmen.

As far as I know, Reunion is after Tomb Of The Sea. Even if the actors look younger in Reunion. Except for that…
It's debatable. In Reunion, Wuxie doesn't seem to know about the 10th family mentioned in Tomb of the Sea. I gotta ask my novel reading friends again. I think watching either one first should be ok.

With the new series out, the new chronological order from my viewing experience:
The Mystic Nine
The Lost Tomb
The Lost Tomb 2
Ultimate Note
The Lost Tomb 3 (Reunion season 1 and 2)
Tomb Of The Sea

Chronological order of series needs to be corrected. Tomb of the sea is after Lost Tomb 3. In Tomb of the sea: Wu xie is around 40 years old. Lost tomb 3: Wu xie is around 30

On Ever Night Season 2 Feb 14, 2020
Title Ever Night Season 2 Spoiler
In general, I am happy to have new season for a fan of first season. It does come with disappointment on cast and stories. In my opinion, the second season barely made it thanks to remaining old casts.
What I enjoyed:
1. Same casting for NQ’s brothers, sisters and Adam Cheng. I like their family like relationship who always take care of each other.
2. Seeing everyone’s fighting abilities
3. The moment NQ killed the King (very cool)
4. The war with Tang arc
5. The cast of new Sang Sang’s alter ego (tian nu)
What I dislike
1. Obviously, NQ’s cast change. I kept imaging what would old NQ behave in certain scenes.
2. Cast change of Tang King. I understand no one could replace Leon Lai but it felt like Tang King went from a kind yet reliable King to a childish and irresponsible King who acts on his emotion (and leads to his meaningless death). Also, after he died, it’s funny no one cares about bringing his body back for funeral. He was a king and their father. Based on Chinese ancient custom, even if the princess wanted the thrones for her brother, there is not way they can just ignore the old King’s body without being criticized.
3. Cast change of Tang princess. She became younger, cuter but stupider and over pampered mother figure to his bad brother.
4. Ye Hong Yu’s cast change. The first season, she was headstrong yet soft and has some feeling to NQ. But the second season, she becomes cold and only cold. It’s like she became almost a stranger or acquaintance with NQ as if her experience with him on first season never happened.
5. How come NQ never actually tried to become stronger but keep thinking of smart-ass idea. This is a martial cultivation drama. He should have talked more about increasing his level. The whole world acknowledges him as weak but it’s like he stopped worrying about improving anymore.
6. Long Qin’s voice actor changed. First season voice was unique and suitable to his character. Second season, he has a normal support character voice and doesn’t standout.
7. Lu Chen Jia’s cast change. She became too nice and innocent.
