character development sucked this season. i rmbr how smart sangwoo was as the villian. myunggi was just a pyschopath. i rmbr how smart junho was in s1, but this time a random who hadn’t met the captain ever, caught on that quickly? he wasnt that dumb. there is so much i wanna say more but ive commented too much and i think ppl r sick of me 😭😭

GUYS I JUST REALIZED SMTH. in the rebellion, inho (disguised as player 001, youngil) was there too. he FAKED his death on the radio, changed into the frontman costume, and then went to gihun and jungbae and killed jungbae. gihun was not only sad about jungbae’s death, BUT HE WAS CLOSE TO YOUNGIL TOO. so he was sad about THAT too. but here’s the confusing part: in s3 when we see jungbae and the rest of the rebellions’ bodies, youngil (inho) IS MISSING! gihun should’ve noticed then? idk, he should’ve noticed because after that one round in mingle, he was worried abt him and was happy to see him alive. he shouldve caught on quickly. anyone could’ve caught that. (im saying this cuz that frontman reveal was the SHITTIEST reveal ever imo)

he had 4 sisters. the way he grabbed that lady to change roles with him? that was not daeho. daeho must’ve known how to respect woman, growing up with so many around him. we never rly got his backstory either. why he joined? why he lied about marines? why get a tattoo of the marines? gihun grabbed HIM instead of jungbae in s2 mingle, yet he has such a grudge towards him? i dont think that was gihun either. my daeho is NOT a liar ajd my gihun is NOT someone to kill (except if the other person rly did do smth wrong, except he didnt, it was partially his fault.) my hyunju is NOT stupid. she would’ve closed the door behind her. the character development sucked, s2 was made for them to get their introductions done and over with, and s3 was their development. idk what the writers even did this time…

yim siwan nailed that role. 333 is supposed be a manipulative creature, and he manipulated me 😵‍💫 i cant imagine any other actor doing 333. park gyuyoung, she nailedddd her nonchalant suicidal woman who only got hope to live after finding out her child MIGHT be alive, that ‘might’ saved her. jo yuri was amazing during jump rope esp, her “ahjussi anday!” (as u can tell i am not korean) LOL but she ate it up. wo jin ah barely had screentime even in s2, but she was good.

i agree with “liked the ending but not how they got there” cuz the characters esp hyunju just went dumb. she closed every door behind her in hide and seek but couldnt in her last scene.? confused the shit outta me. daeho’s death, completely unnecessary. he could’ve died in the final (hyunju and him couldve made it) i could sense the son and mother dying anyways soo…

kang noeul shouldve stopped every guard tbh. frontman was too busy with vips, hence the square guard. now that he was killed, she was free to do anything rly. im sure the other guards wanted to go out too. i loved the sacrifice too, but the thing that pissed me off the most was the old men in the final. i doubt player 100 couldve actually done the jump rope, he’s so old

i honestly dont even mind the bad ending, this comment is just what they couldve done to make us happy. but what on earth was the character switch up? daeho becomes a liar? hyunju is now stupid the second b4 she dies and doesnt close the door behind her even tho she did every single other time in the game? gihun all of a sudden has a grudge against daeho? i still dont care whether gihun was mad about jungbae's death, it was both of their faults and they coudlve forgave eachother, gihun couldve killed lookalike daeho, or player 100 for us. grandma killing her own son? she couldve just pushed him aside? it still wouldve been hurtful bbut atleast she doesnt take the guilt fully on her. sure, the role switching guilt would be there too, but cmon! and dont get me started on 333. he had such potential. he just wanted junhee. and her money. for that money, he wouldve protected junhee. and he did, just like in mingle. but he doesnt in s3? why? he couldve. i feel like im just still processing everything, it hasnt been a day even since it released, but i still think this couldve been better. or they couldve jst stopped at s1. either way, im not mad, im disappointed. good watch, never will again. trauma is enough now.

idk why they added so many characters. if they wanted to kill off hyunju and daeho, u shouldve in s2, instead of saving them (making us think they will survive in s3) and then killing them anyways in ep2 s3. they changed their characters in like, what, a minute in their universe? daeho becomes a liar, hyunju is stupid enough not to close the door behind her when she ddoes every single other time in the game. what was this character development?

ig it is , but why make 388 become a liar. idk, something feels off about killing everyone in the first 2 episodes. and yongsik didnt even get screentime in this season. saw him once in the game, and the other was his death scene.

her voice is a bit deep in this drama, i got confused too. the mask yes changes the voice, thats why gihun doesn't recognize in-ho's voice in s2 at the end.

YES! WHAT R THEY DOING?? i cannot with this now. gihun's ending was the only poetic thing. what on earth was that storyline? im saying this as squid games #1 fan!

the ending in that way was sad and poetic yes! but the storyline upto that point did not make sense. atp its a show like sweet home, season one took all the flavor and hence leaving nothing for the other two seasons. director himself said he wanted s1 to be the first and last. even if they did make s2 and s3, make it make sense. its like they changed within a second, s2 and s3, being in the same order, it doesnt make sense their characters become dumb overnight! this is what i think. i think it was alright, ending made me bawl but loved it. but it just doesnt sit right with me. all the players in s2 were made to be in s3!! s3 was their time. but killing them off in ep2? UGHH

the way they killed them was unnecessary! why did gihun all of a sudden have a grudge against daeho? i thought he was all saving and moral blah blah! and the randoms being the finalists. i would've been fine if the main players made it thru and then died cuz it makes sense then! gihun did the right thing to sacrifice himself yes, but cmon there was so much potential!

i dont think the baby being born was wrong. i believe making it a player was wrong.

gihun couldve killed anyone else in hide n seek, he got so many chances. wasnt he the 'forgiving, having faith in humanity' type guy? i feel like gihuns death wouldve happened anyways, but what about the wasted potential of the other players? the MAIN players? not some randoms

in s2, i can assure u, there was character development for player 333. he grabbed junhee's hand in mingle and saved her and entered the room just b4 everyone would die. the point of s2 was to show the players developing themselves. that being said, we know that the abortion of the baby was a mutual choice, but junhee kept it. i thought player 333, seeing player 222 giving up in jump rope, would rush back to save her and then it would be meaningful with them living or dying together. i dont get why they ruined his character like that

the ending itself is sad yes . im against that too. but lets say, im not. im fine with the ending. but the way to that ending? wtf? my biggest complain is, why even add so many characters and get us attached to them. just to kill them off and use randoms for the final that we dont even know the names of! s2 was getting us prepared for s3, it showed us characters that were important in s3. if hyunu and daeho were going to die immediately when s3 starts. why keep them alive from s2? just shouldve killed them in the rebellion? its not the ending thats only bad, its the storyline. why did gihun all of a sudden hate daeho? the same guy who grabbed daeho's hand in mingle and saved him? jungbae died because of two reasons, gihuns plan, and daeho not bringing the magazines. daeho admitted half of it being his fault, but gihun did not. only after killing daeho he's whining. none of this made sense.

why did they take the emotional route anyways :( !! they made hyunju dumb THOUGH she's not. hyunju's smart enough to close the fricking door behind her. same with player 388, such ruined potential, sure he lied about being in the marines, but he was brave enough to go fight? why did 456 have such a grudge against him? what pissed me off was that he killed daeho, but he didnt kill player 100? player 203? whatever those annoying characters were! he killed 333, but he couldn't kill player 100 and use his ONLY chance to fricking live with the baby! they made all the characters so dumb and it pissed me off so much! they were so smart last season? what happened in not even a day in that universe?
