Logged in just so I could make a defense for the MC's poor cousin Wei Yan. Honestly my favourite character and I don't understand all the hate he is getting from the community.
When he first appeared, I loved his antics and personality - super refreshing. I mean yes, he does some pretty mean things to ML and FML but love that he has a bottom line that he won't hurt ML or his grandmother. Also, if you think about it from another perspective and believe that he really think of ML as a bro, he's just testing the FML and their relationship to see if she really loves him or not or if she's just trying to take advantage of ML. In a way, he sympathises with and understands the FML better than anyone else does, given both are deeply connected to enemy states and sometimes mired in conflict / misunderstandings as a result. While he is testing the FML, he is also trying to find himself and determine where his own loyalty lies.
Brilliantly written character. Actor is also amazing - LDD steals every scene he's in. Love how he does a lot of mean and questionable things without ever giving me the impression that he would be a bad guy.
