Quite frankly, basically every drama with a component dealing with workplace abuse has this dynamic. Not sure…
I agree, that's also my experience with any other drama touching on the topic. And My Mister really didn't give any indication that he could somehow fight back against the CEO without any leverage, and he did fight back and ask to be treated fairly (he didn't even as for unearned favors, which I respected, it was a clear contrast with all the corruption going on around him) as soon as he had any. It's simply delusional to pretend the massive difference in power did not exist and that this would have been anything other than a complete disaster had he not had anything to force the CEO's hand. He was even hesitant, at first, about directly competing against the CEO's faction for the new position, because he feared the guy would do something crazy. There is a reality of power and influence that simply cannot be ignored. Note that no one else of the other oppressed colleagues could do anything about it either. Again, DH did take care of the situation as soon as he had something to work with. But he lived in reality, not a fantasy where one could fight against the CEO with no leverage.
This is factually not correct. YH's older brother apologizes for not noticing that she was feeling lonely, and…
JA's resilience was admirable, and DH giving her a chance, and her having fond memories of her time at the company even years later, and her talk to the company at the meeting... it was all so touching.
