I just at 15 minutes in at the last episode, and my overall thought so far is this series felt interesting but too simplistic at the same time. The mystery element is good enough to get me hook, and the direction is top tier, but not sure why certain parts it just felt bland.
I had the same issues with Kamen Rider Black Sun, on surface level it's trying to be thought-provoking, but the execution goes all over the place.
This series is saved by the family dynamics, if its not for them I'll be yawning for most of the time. I'd watch it mostly because Kaku Kento is one of my favourite Japanese actors, but his character just felt boring and sometimes I just forgets his is the main character.
Just a bit disappointed on how the series end up, if they tighten the script, fasten the pace, it would be much better. 6/10 from me.
I thought this would be some low budget campy J-Horror movie but I didn't expect to like it a lot. What sells me is their cute friendship, I wish it could be longer.
The first movie felt more chaotic and it's funnier. The second one it's not just it just repeat the same joke, it's much slower and boring. The less I see that Yurina Hirate the better, it felt like this want to promotes her or something.
Time to rewatch The Mole Song then, it at least felt consistant between the 3 movies.
Hi, first time posting here, just sign up just because want to talk about this movie.
I'm just half way watching this movie, and as a fans of the anime, I'm really disappoint at this movie adaptation, I'm not sure if I should continue or not because maybe it will spoiled if there will be a continuation to the anime series someday
Although I'm a fan of Itou Kentaro, and its been written by Mari Okada, maybe the reason is the director, Iguchi Noboru, I'm not exactly a fans of his directing.
I'm not sure about the manga, but the tempo of the movie is kind of fast compare to the anime, they cramp too much into this movie compare to the anime series, although not everyone a fan of the the animation style, the anime series have the advantages of being slow, dreadful and melancholy, and that's what I like about the anime adaptation. Plus, the music in the anime are also great.
