Thanks a lot for this review. I took some glimpses at all the shows you mentioned except Tunnels... but I don't…
Is so amusing to see when Sho plays Cliff Climb there's always some kind of happening.

I was going to add that show as a bonus, but I thought the article will get longer. I actually love that show…

I agree with all your choices! Except for Tunnels no Minassan... only because I've never watched it before O_O…
I was going to add that show as a bonus, but I thought the article will get longer. I actually love that show and have made softsubs for some episodes and shared them on my LJ.

How do you watch Japanese variety shows?? It's hard to find.
You can find most of them raw online if you search by the date and name (preferably in japanese). And for subbed episodes the best option is to look in livejournal communities. For Shabekuri episodes I use this site http://japanvarietyshow.com/

You make me go back in time! I watched practically all the taiwanese dramas you mentioned and I agree with you I really loved them back then but I wouldn't rewatch them now because I'm afraid to shatter my precious memories LOL (My favorites were Smiling Pasta, My Lucky Star and Tokyo Juliet)
Meteor Garden was sooo low budget!!

OMG! This drama was terrible, please don't waste your time with this one. The story started ok but it went crazy mod on later on, the villain was waful and the situation was pretty unbelievable.

Article Drama Spotlight: Pride Spoiler
it's certainly worth a watch. My only real criticism is the lack of development for Aki. Aki's perfectly acceptable…
"At the beginning of the show Aki is waiting for a man and allowing him to dictate her life. at the end of the show Aki is waiting on a man and allowing him to dictate her life. It’s just a different man" I think this is exactly were the writer wanted to establish the growth in Aki. At the beginning she was waiting for her boyfriend to comeback due to the promise they made. But at the end she did not make any promise with Haru nor were they in a relationship when he went abroad. She decided to continue with her life without waiting for someone to comeback, she was not waiting for Haru’s return nor she was expecting him to continue to be in love with her. That’s why when the interviewer asked Haru if there was a special someone for him and he was about to show the picture she turned off the TV, because she didn’t want to know who his new love was. (I hope my long explanation makes any sense LOL)

Pride is one of my all time favorite dramas, I just love the story and how Haru and Aki both find what they were looking for in the most unexpected way. This is definitely a must watch drama!
And the OST is outstanding, "I was born to love you" is still in my play list.

The first drama with him I saw, ages ago, was the Tantei Gakuen Q live action with Kamiki Ryunosuke, when they…
That's the first drama I saw as well with him and Kamiki, and ever since then I'm been a fan of Yamada!!

This drama deserves so much love but it was a very good one! I love the relationship between the OTP and how it gradually developed and it was so natural. I would also tag this drama as a tearjerker specially the last quartet of it!!
Thanks for writing this article :)
