I don't understand people who don't want Day to get his sight back. If you were blind, wouldn't you want your sight back??? I'm sure most blind folks would tell you that they want to see again. Day, seems to really want to see again. Having him see again(if it's where Aof is going with the story), wouldn't be ableist.

In the novel it is described as an "unforgettable kiss". Telling Gee that Mhok is not his type, is not necessarily the truth, when you see the body shift during the car scene.
And, Day wanted to be with Mhok, that's why he said yes about being together.
