I don't agree with the show being "westernized garbage" but I will agree it was pretty mediocre/garbage once he reincarnates into that serial killer's body because from that point on I think the show completely shifted into a stupid contrived thriller plot. They also just rushed the last few lives immediately. Like what was the point of him reincarnating into that old man's body who died at the start? To just merely shock the audience into going "OMG he was that old man who commits suicide" and then the added twist of the man who crashed into that old man being the antagonist? lmfao. I think the first few eps were fine but part 2 dives into mediocrity. I also didn't how the show handled the topic of suicide where it comes across as victim blaming the person and basically calling them selfish for committing suicide as if it's not a complex and sensitive topic that should actually be explored thoughtfully. This is just me ranting tho and I don't wanna shit on anyone who rates this show highly but it's just some thoughts as to why I personally think this show is meh at best with an interesting concept that falls flat.

I don't mind cheesy romcoms every now and then but there's a certain level of cheese and stupidity I can handle still tho I don't rate them too harshly but I just don't think it's the genre for me. I prefer heavier romance or slice of life dramas with a romance subplot which is why I like hello my twenties so much.

Since I watched this before the KSH news I can say I kinda enjoyed the first 7 episodes or so if I recall correctly when they were in germany especially bc I liked kim jiwon’s character but oh my god it just gets bad so fast with so many dumb plot conveniences that had me regretting my decision to start this drama. Not the worst thing ever but still pretty bad imo.

I'm super disappointed with how this drama turned out but wow imagine the 2nd couple being less cliche than our main couple.
