I don't know why I am more excited for the 2nd FL & ML.
I couldn't grow on YWS yet, everything she is saying and doing for GZY were all pretense and premeditated, though there were instances that she shows to waiver but arrgghhh.
I just finished the drama and I’m satisfied that all characters got a happy ending, though I was really expecting for a wedding to take place but there isn’t. At least we deserved that after all the roller coaster, heavy rains and earthquakes 😂
The real MVP here is Maio Maio ~ Song Yan’s cousin 😂, it was only her who was able to let Xu Qin’s mom half way kneel, even her said that she’s very capable 😆😆. Another satisfying scene was when Son Yan rescued Xu Qin’s mom during typhoon at the end. Prime example that tables do really turned.
Short live romance between Yan Chen and Ye Zi, they have chemistry and have huge potential, sadly their story didn’t finish. Even FL and ML’s story at the end was rushed like director couldn’t find a way anymore on how to end it. At episode 40, there was still a huge crisis which is the typhoon, both leads did their jobs to save everyone, both families reconciled, leads moved to their new house, proposal but no wedding. It just ended. All happened in 45 mins. It’s rushed.
Lead characters have chemistry even on scenes when they don’t utter a word and just there standing next to each other, the body language is loud enough that you’d know both of them wanted to say something. The plot is complex but well maintain for each episode, each character has enough screen time too as well has supporting characters. when the leads were heavy on their scenes, the support characters tone downs the scenes. it’s not the typical Chinese drama that’s hearty and fluffy, it’s a semi heavy series with leads that are trying to heal their past traumas and dealing with controlling people whom they consider family, not going against parents but they are unhappy not to be able to do things that makes them happy. I am still at episode 14 and I applaud the character development of each one. I’m not worried if they end up together or not because even if FL’s family and whole world is against their relationship, the opening frame are the leads in wedding dresses so I know it’s a happy ending 😆plus points: Doctor and firefighter combo.

I saw 16th yesterday then 17th goes 0 secs in the timer earlier, I just refreshed and now it’s 3 days 🤦🏻♀️ How in their MDL profile it’s broadcast days are daily? but actually not. 🤦🏻♀️
