As for me , till episode 16 I would have given it 9.5 but after watching the last episode I gave it 8.5 . IT'S…
Then this drama won’t exist if it weren’t for their tragic romance of the century (since this was based on Korean true history). Imagine watching romeo & juliet with happy ending, what could possibly differ them from other love story?
But still everybody has their own preferences, so it’s okay. Besides, i’m 100% agree that people who binge watch this in one go might have completely different perspective. As we can see the number of viewers here are skyrocketing after the drama ends, that might be a factor why people aren’t liking it as much as us (who get the lingering obsession).
I keep coming back here bcs this feels like home :( I’ve tried to follow other dramas hype, but there isn’t comment section as comfortable as here (imo). I’m going to miss u guys! 😢
They forgot to list “I’ll Leave You” from Lee Sun-Hee.
Ah, i see. I thought they excluded 1 song from the physical ost lol i should’ve read it thoroughly 😂 As for bgm, it’s okay we still can get it online :D wish they’d be available in any music platforms!
Originally this should've had 20 episodes, but circumstances with the writer (or production? This was unclear)…
Aaaaa i knew it supposed to be more than 16 episodes 😭😭 Indeed, the transition from ep 16 to 17 was a bit off especially for the newcomers (i saw many ppl confused in many platforms asking whose son dying in beginning of ep 17), and some important contexts was left out (e.g. Deokim pregnancies, birth of Munhyo, etc etc) making this drama is unlikely to be recommended for sageuk beginners despite its wonderful story & other excellent aspects. I know their first audience target was Korean citizen who’s aware of their history, so its understandable. It would be better if they extend this show a little bit longer, like 20-24 eps, to complete the missing context. Anyway, I’m not complaining for their decisions tho. I’m already so satisfied with extra 1 eps since i like to dig the historical context. Genius PD-nim to include the novel ending scene! It was the most satisfying ending i’ve ever seen for a historical drama. Applause for TRS production team 👏🏼👏🏼
I’M EXCITED!!! can someone tell me if they will really change the whole plot?? I’ve read some comments below it’s related to the controversy. If yes, then are the synopsis here already updated yet?
do you think there's a possibilty they will post that scene online like they posted some deleted scenes?TT
I was hoping the same thing 🥲🥲, but reading from her words seems like they did’t film it bcs the director changed the scene into morning after kiss instead :’)
I’m curious, what was everyone’s first sageuk drama? Mine was Jewel in the Palace (2003).
Mine was short drama Splash-splash love. I wasn’t interested in sageuk drama before 2021 :)) I spent 1 year to watch all of sageuks that ever existed. I kinda regret i used to hate historical drama, tho. It’s really addicting & now i can’t even stand watching modern drama anymore lol.

I don’t even think they filmed this scene tho…. imo they decided to remove that scene from the script bcs it’s way too intimate and not suitable to be aired on national TV with rating 15+ only.
