Just finished this tonight, such a consistently entertaining drama. Props to the cast for their brilliant performances, it'll be hard moving on from this series!!
I got Misaeng vibes at times when watching due to the everyday office/work realism and the subdued green filter. I would of liked maybe a bit more oomph and drama in this show especially with the crime and law elements however the lack of melodrama and suspense helped the show with its mature approach for the characters. There was no exaggerated, obvious, or fully evil antagonists and the characters felt very grounded and maturely portrayed by the cast. A season 2 is in order!!
The first two episodes were so well made that it felt like a movie. I'm hoping there will be no romance,…
Agreed, if they do go down the romance route then I'm rooting for Dong Cheol because after the suicide of her brother, it doesn't feel fitting to have romance between Sang Mi and Sang Hwang. I think for me the problem with romance developing in the series is the potential overuse of Sang Mi getting "saved" by the boys which will create a "damsel in distress" character trope, with the boys at hand for convenience of the plot.
