I am beyond excited for this!! I love the premise of falling in love across different lifetimes, how interesting and romantic! And I like that the runtime is longer than other Korean bls have been to hopefully be able to do the plot justice. This better not disappoint!
I think this is yet another example of a Korean bl that takes a plot that requires a decent amount of time to tell the story and tries to cram it into a super short runtime. The result is a disappointing final product. It’s not terrible or anything, it has interesting characters and situations, but it’s way too rushed to do much with them IMO :/
not crazy about this one, and I feel like the short run time is really not doing it any favors. I'm just not that invested in the relationship between the leads. It feels like it's too rushed to me, they like fell in love instantly/outta nowhere. I think if the drama had some implied time skips or something it might've seemed more plausible. I'm actually more interested in the side characters, Yi bin and the intimidating lady Nam Sang Sil. Though it looks to me in the preview for episode seven that they're gonna make yi bin annoying sooo not excited about that.
Great first episode!! I really liked the music, and the plot looks interesting so far. Also, I already ship the two leads so much, I’m really hoping this ends up being a BL
While this show wasn't, like, extraordinary or anything, I did enjoy it more than I thought I would. I'm pleasantly surprised. I liked the premise, and I would love to see more historical BLs.
This looks really interesting but is there any romance in this at all? Or anything that’s gearing towards romance? I’d like to know before starting it.
oh my god, this is an excellent article!! Thank you for writing it! I watched this drama a month ago and it easily became my favorite drama of the year, but this article made me like it even more! If that's even possible hahaha. Your analysis of Ki Hyuk's character is really on point I think. I love how he's used to foreshadow what happens with Jong Woo, it's really interesting to draw comparisons between those two characters. I especially also liked how you went into how Ki Hyuk was trying to emulate Moon Jo in appearance, behavior, etc. I'd noticed the parallels between them, but I guess I never really gave it much thought loll. I definitely agree with your interpretation that it's because he idolizes Moon Jo and wants to be him. I think that really fits the show. So interesting!! I also liked how you went into how Ki Hyuk is used to introduce Moon Jo as the antagonist. I think it's really clever how the show did that. Seeing this already very formidable villain executed so easily really introduces you to how much of a threat Moon Jo is, haha. So yeah lol, once again thank you for giving me a deeper look into one of my favorite dramas ever through this article! It was a great read!
