Title A Frozen Flower Spoiler
I think that the reason why Hong Lim lied about not loving the King was to piss him off and kill him. I think…
I agree. If you notice, once he makes love to the queen, he starts to actively avoid being alone with the king.

i felt soo bad for the king, that bitch ruined everything
What?!!! The king was the one who ruined everything. The king opened Pandora's box. He groomed a boy (Hong Rim) and made him his lover. Then he orders, doesn't ask, orders his lover and his queen to have sex so she can have a baby. Which tells you that the king knew that his lover was inclined to like women. But instead of just having sex the two end up making love. Then Hong Rim and the queen fall in love and the king get's jealous. The king was responsible for everything that happened.

Just reading through all the different comments, there sure are a lot of good and moral people here. Even though…
There is no justification for abuse! None. And your brother was an ass. He had every right to confess to his own sin, and say that he was sorry for what he unknowingly did with the married woman. However, when he added that he was not the only one, he became a self righteous little prig. Some that does not surprise me because that's how you come off in your post.

Title A Frozen Flower Spoiler
I'm pretty sure Chief Hong lied about never loving him at the end, to make the King vulnerable and in the other…
He did look at the Queen. When she sings, before the attack he's looking at her. And when she makes the speech about protecting the King against her father, he's looking at her. The King was well aware that Hong was not gay, or he would not have asked him to father a child with the Queen. I think Hong was attracted to her beauty and dignity. He started to like her when she made the speech, because she, like him was loyal to the King. The first night they are together, he stops because she has tears in her eyes, so he cares about what she feels. Once they seal the deal (so to speak) he starts to fall, and when she gives him that personally embroidered scarf: boom, Hong falls in LOVE. From that moment on It's all about the Queen. I think he loved the King like a brother/father figure, but the type of love the King was asking about was romantic love... so I don't think Hong was lying when he answered the King. I think a better translation would have been something like-- never that way.

Seriously questioning the kings logic... He didn't want to have sex with the queen because he's gay... so he made…
No he meant that now Hong was also incapable of having sex with a woman ever again.

I had a little question... Hong Rim fell in love with the queen or he always loved the king? '-'
Of course he loved the King, but it wasn't in a romantic sense. there's a scene where the Queen is singing, and the way Hong looks a her, I think he secretly liked her. Which is why he tried so hard not to go to bed with her, once that happened, Hong was no longer able to give the King what he wanted sexually. If the King had been willing to be loved like a brother... but brotherly love wasn't what the King wanted from Hong.

I think he fell in love with the Queen. Hong Rim had been "groomed" since he was a child to love the king, just as pedophiles groom children today. Once he was allowed to have a relationship as an adult with someone of his sexual preference, he fell in love. The King gave him extravagate but impersonal gifts, the Queen give him small gifts she had made by hand, then add the fact that she had never had another lover... and she's having his baby? He was all about protecting the Queen, and when the King castrated him it drove home the fact that all he was to the King was a possession/obsession.That would make me shed a tear as I died in front of that person too.
