I saw your profile picture and immediately had to check if you had a review of L&P because I genuinely feel like I’m the only person in the world who feels this way about this cdrama 😭. No matter how many other dramas I watch, I always end up coming back to L&P because it gives me a kind of satisfaction that no other drama does.
The scenes between them, going from hilarious to heartbreaking, the whole atmosphere of the drama, the relationships, the way everything unfolds, and especially Chen Feiyu and Zhang Jingyi’s chemistry. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, it’s perfect. The story is so good, and there’s something so satisfying about the way everything happens. I know people always talk about it being toxic, and I can understand where some of that comes from, but I honestly don’t think Zhu Yun was nearly as submissive to him as people make her out to be. She was so strong and stubborn, she could absolutely put him in his place, and I love that about her.
It’s honestly so nice to know I’m not the only one who feels this way. At some point I genuinely started wondering if I was crazy for constantly coming back to rewatch this drama.
I understand what you mean.. But I honestly don’t agree completely.. I agree that Flora changes quite a bit…
I’m honestly shocked that some people can be this clueless. Everything you’re saying about how he could’ve found another way to get her sober without taking her home completely misses the point of the ROMANCE. If you want something realistic and perfectly logical, watch another genre, because kdramas, cdramas are unrealistic and intentionally dreamy.
Like, let’s be serious. As if someone as bland as her would attract the hottest, smartest guy in the company, the handsome genius CEO/director. They barely even have two meaningful conversations before the romance starts. But that’s the point: it’s a ROMANCE. Of course he’s going to fall for her even though she’s less attractive than all the other women in the office and has basically no personality, and of course he’s going to take her home even though there were a thousand other options.
Have you watched *First Frost*, the drama everyone loves? If you watched it and thought it was completely plausible that the two of them had no other choice but to live together, then you’re clearly just selective about what you’re willing to consider “realistic.” They had a million other solutions besides moving in together. But I’m watching a romance, so I’m perfectly happy to suspend my disbelief and enjoy it. If you can’t do that, I genuinely suggest watching a different genre. Clearly, isn’t your thing.
