I know what you mean. I've been ignoring them since I got back into J ent, but only recently I got into A.B.C-Z. Mostly because my generation is K8/NEWS/KAT-TUN and I liked them as a Jr. unit back in the day. But everything about Sexy Zone is dodgy. Though got to admit I'm excited for the Kansai debut this year...

Yeah, I want their next single to be more like that. It's My Soul and Wahaha were my firsts so they're my favourites.

I agree it's best to go into movies etc. with as few expectations as possible.

They're basically stage Johnny's so you don't see them around much, unless you watch a lot of Johnny's musicals (not recommended, for the sake of your sanity xD). Their most recent PV is a one-take through Lockheart Castle (the castle that appears in every Japanese drama that requires a castle xD), but I can't find a streaming link for it. I watched the making-of and the cameraman was amazing, running around for 12 minutes over and over with all that equipment strapped around him.
Well, the downside to all of this means I'm going to have to watch some awful idol dramas, starting with Bad Boys J. Ugh, I think I've written more than enough on this topic... Apologies.

Yes. xD It's based on a trilogy of books, one of the rare cases in which the adaptation is better than the original. I've got so much to watch right now, but once I get into the rhythm of this J-drama season it's my priority.
I looked it up in my account! It was called The Tokyo Zodiac Murders by Soji Shimada. Apparently it's a series but only the first book is translated.

I hope it gets subbed. I can't be bothered to look up all the medical terms. But I do like sibling storylines. And it amuses me that he was 25 in his last drama, and in this one he's 30.

They have to balance out the tedium of the most boring genre ever.

Watched DMAT. It's nothing new but... I liked it. I mean normally he'd just look constipated, but he was pretty convincing for the bus crash scene. Some Ohkura/Kato Ai romance would be nice too.

Hello. I saw your post in the "What major are you studying" thread and got curious. If you don't mind me asking, how is it that you are both a first year and second year student at different universities? Different education systems fascinate me.

My original goal was to read Japanese novels, but since my hobby(?) is basically Japanese TV these days I think studying is time well spent.
The synopsis didn't grab my attention, but that happened with a lot of my favourite dramas from last year, so...
